Our problem is we have spent too much on our backline .

I mean if Hayne is on 1 million and Hoppa 800k Sandow 550k and Norman was around 425k. Who is worth that? I think all are being over paid.

Hayne should be on MAX 700k but he would of milked all he could.
Hoppa is a good young player but not worth anymore than 400k (probably less at this stage)
Sandow 350k and Norman 300k. So there is our problem in IMO. Im going off figures reported.

We can scream allgood isn't good enough etc. But he would be giving us what he is worth. At worse he maybe overpaid by a small amount.Same goes for guys like SIO .

We are very very lucky that Mau-Edwards-Radardra-Gower-Tonga would be on peanuts and playing very well.WELL above what they would be getting paid. Giving us good value. And a lot of young guys probably not on a lot of money who will soon need to be upgraded thou so we need to be smart.

Your problem is you believe the figures the papers throw around.

If you don't think Hayne is a Million dollar play you have to be kidding..

Well who thinks Morgan would have been just as effective? Id say so .Im yet to see hoppa make a break. So as far as squad balance goes not needed.

Hayne is a great player but is being paid for it.As far as balance goes he is overpaid in our squad. I mean dragons got Dugan for 650K.So you could say he is 350k overpaid??

Hayne is a million dollar player every second week.
Lacks the weekly consistency of guys like Thurtson-Cam smith-Inglis.On his day he is up there with them. But there are by far more consistent then Hayne. So they are getting better value for money than we are.

Garbage.
Hayne is more consistent that he gets credit for.
He's probably more consistent than Thurston these days. JT has weeks where he's just not very good (not last night of course - that was Hayne's turn to be shit).

You think your right but your wrong. JT is in the most important position is the QLD and Aus team.Has been for more than 6 years.

Hayne has yet to cement a place in his preferred position for neither NSW or Australia. I am not bagging Hayne out. He is a great player. Maybe parra's best ever but to say he deserves Cam smith and JT status is biased. Not even close.Case dismissed . But you can put your blue and gold glasses back on if you like.I often wonder what the sun looks like when your wearing those.

So idk if it was mentioned on here, but in RLW they believe Arthur is on the lookout for an experienced front rower to give us more direction.

I had a look through off contract props and the only experienced off contract props were Brett White, Jason King and Luke Bailey.

Geez, i'm not sure about them. Maybe King for a year?

For QLD and Australia, yes, JT rarely puts in a bad game.
But for the Cowboys he has had plenty, especially in the last couple of years.

Hayne has yet to cement a position in rep sides because he is so versatile.
Inglis doesn't play in his preferred position in those sides either. One of the best players of all time in Andrew Johns couldn't either. All that comes down to is the selectors and the versatility of the players. Has nothing to do with how consistent they are.

Hayne's only problem is that he plays in a shit team. Thurston's Cowboys have been underwhelming as well, but he gets most of his praise for his rep performances - in which he plays with the best team.

I may have blue and gold glasses, but I don't think they are as darkly tinted as some others'. I'm not about to go picking Mannah or Hoppa for Origin or anything, and I hate our halfback with a passion.
But I think it's more than fair to say that Hayne is up there with the best players in the game.

Bailey could be useful for a year. Though to be honest, I haven't seen too many Titans games recently. I always thought he was a quality front rower.

I don't really think any of them would bring what we need and may want too much money and too long a contract to come.

Maybe our best bet would be to deal with our young blokes in Paulo, Tanginoa, Pauli, etc for next year and see who is on the market for 2016.

I still think Mossop and Paulo will feature prominently for us later in the year and beyond.

I just wonder if Arthur really is on the lookout for an experienced campaigner.

I think Hayne is very consistent. It's only because he's in a crap team it makes him look bad.

JT and CS would be the only ones who could excel at Parra. Cronk, Slater, inglis would not be effective

Like Tonga, Hopoate always looks to set up his winger. Morgan's instinct is to take on the defence.

Hopoate has made a few breaks though, and makes plenty of metres.

Hayne is almost certainly overpaid but so are most-if-not-all of the top players in the game.

Hasn't McKendry been given permission to look around?

A few people have mentioned that they might be trying to push fui to 200 first grade games. Would fui really give a shit about 197 or 200 first grade games? He'l be filthy he is dropped either way. I don't think the 200 games milestone would be high in his priority list.

No one is bigger than the team. I love Fui. He has been great for us but he is going very poorly and needs to be dropped.
