Manly have been stock piling cash for ages for this bloke, losing G Stewart is just the beginning. Whatmong will be offloaded next. But by buying a house in the area sounds to me he is pretty happy where he is, especially when Manly will be stumping up the cash for him.

I'm sure he'll stay at Manly but the buying a house thing is meaningless. He doesn't have to move just because he signs for another Sydney club, and even if he did move (e.g. to Brisbane) he doesn't have to sell the house. There are plenty of advantages to investment properties over homes.

They've been quietly building around DCE for some time now. He and foran are thought of their pillars. They knew there would be collateral damage but are willing to ride it out. They are in the rare situation, all luck being equal, of stringing two successful decades back to back.

EGJ lived in Cronulla for many years whilst playing at Parra. Hoppa still lives in Manly. It really isn't that far of a drive.

As much as i think signing DCE is a long shot, i can't blame Arthur for trying. Actually, i'd be dissapointed if we didn't have a crack.

If manly keep DCE then good on them but imagine if he went to a club in Sydney like Sharks or Dragons and it came out we weren't even talking to him. Those who are saying stop dreaming will probably be the ones cursing Arthur and the club for not at least going for him.
