I am wondering though if they are concerned with the direction in which Manly are headed. Apparently Toovey and the new CEO are at loggerheads over the club trying to sign Tom Burgess and Tooveys hold on the job is quite tenuous at best to most reports and after to night I wonder if he will actually make the half way point in the season. Badel is a smart operator. I reckon we are in with a good shot. Their current recruitment leaves much to be desired. I am not convinced that DCE is the Yoko.... I am wondering if it's the coach himself.

The footage before the start of the game with Toovey and DCE in the middle of the stadium would obviously have been where Toovey found out.

I reckon we have nabbed Foran. He is class, however we need Sandow for his long kicking game. Norman I also now don't want to lose and if anything I reckon he offers more at fullback than Hopoate.

Always have the added option of moving Hopoate back to centre. That said I believe our defence benefited from the talk at the back from Hoppa. He was talking and directing all game...it really showed.

Any given club should be able to pay more for a fullback than any other club is able to pay for a centre. Therefore if we're not re-signing Hopoate to play fullback we should lose him to another club who can offer more.

Agreed and its either norman or sandow in the starting 13 with foran and they both have positives and negatives thought i think norman would be cheaper.

But would Hoppa want to leave a team on the up (hopefully) for a team still struggling? I can't think of any top teams that are in need for a quality fullback, except The Dogs maybe.

It's possible he may ignore larger dollars to be involved in a more successful system.

I agree, even though Norman is also slow for a fullback, he offers way more then Hoppa at the back, due to his superior passing game.
