Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

Peach was solid for the most part in his first stint with us, had a few clangers mixed with some really nice stuff as well. He was one of our better players.
2016 was his best year with us.

The catch that he took from a Cleary cross kick to score in the corner at home against the Roosters that season was one hell of a try.

He was quite handy in the Qualifying Final against the Doggies that same year as well.

He had his flaws but I think his move to the Titans stunted what would’ve been a more than decent career with Penrith.

Peachey was pretty reasonable last year. No longer a game breaker of course but he did his job, that edge was tight defensively despite centre, edge forward and half being a rotating door and he was part of that. This year appears to be one too many but he's had a solid career that maybe didn't kick on like it could have.

Recency bias Exhibit A.

When Hook was coaching our attack like a child it was usually Peach or Moylan that had to do some sort of freakish solo effort to even get one try.

The guy's played 200 games and score 60 NRL tries playing from bench, lock, second row, five eight for portion of his career. Even a centre with a strike rate of well over 1 try in 4 games is about average pre 6 again rule change and Peachey has played half his games in other positions. It wasn't a fluke that he did that. To do that you have to have ability other NRL quality players don't have.
He played at rubbish sides including that Panthers side he was in

There weren't that many rocks in Peacheys first stint here. You could probably out together a highlight package of them, but overall they weren't that frequent. And when he was good he was really really good.

The Titans/Tigers ruined him. Perfect example of a player who could have kicked on into something special if he stayed at a professional outfit. Unfortunately some people just don't have the hunger to keep at it when in the wrong environment.

I totally agree. Peach has that flair (even now) to pull something brilliant out of his bottom.

Nearly all naturally gifted players are rocks and diamonds because of their creativity. Sometimes it just doesn't come off.

I also agree he's had a wonderful career.
