I thought she was suing him in defamation!

The victim may well be relying upon a tort that harms there reputation but for the most part know one knows who the victim is so causing damage to her good reputation may limit the damages she may otherwise be seeking.

The norm in defamation cases is for high profile persons in society, well known, high earners whose damage to there reputation means there earning capacity is significantly reduced as a consequence to what has been said ir written about them.

I would have thought her claim for damages was more based on some form of physical, emotional, psychological damage which impacts on her quality of life either now or in the future.

She goes for job, someone says something and people smirk. Hard to be a teacher, ceo, cop etc.

She will be unfairly treated as a sex object.
Looked down upon and pious people will hate her.

I think Its a life sentence for her. No amount of money can right the wrong.

She’s just a kid. She may have to change her identity and all that. It’s such an immoral thing to do, even by my own f**ked up and otherwise gutter level standards.

Not sure which of the women is suing, but i think you've over exaggerated in this instance, last year in all the hullabaloo, i got to see both videos floating around, ones pretty degrading but theres no way you would know who that was, the other was the famous "similar looking daughter of league legend" but that wasn't degrading, was just the average sěx act, much like the kotoni staggs case, nothing upsetting really as far as porn goes, and yes this person was filmed, and im pretty sure they knew it, but you never know these days with technology, cameras in sunglasses etc...
My point is this seems pretty trumpd up as just wanting cash off a richer person who was involved. Im not saying any party was right or wrong, but they all were consenting. People make mistakes,

Shouldn't have but hardly surprising that millions do. NRL players do live under different rules to everyone else though, and he should have known better. You live and learn, sometimes the hard way.

Back when I was Tyrone May's age (we're talking the late 70's here) my girlfriend and I had some fun with a Polaroid camera. The ones that formed a picture before your eyes and didn't need processing. There was no internet then but the resulting pics were some years later discovered by my first wife who threw them out and didn't talk for a week, probably because I hadn't suggested doing it with her. People have been doing this for as long as there has been the means available to do it. I'm sure a lot of people learnt the now-forgotten art of darkroom black and white home push processing using Kodak Super XX film for this very reason even 75 or more years ago.

It's just easier now and the results are easier to disseminate.

Filming yourself and your partner (with consent) and keeping the footage private is absolutely fine and happens a lot, filming yourself and your partner (without consent) and then having that footage shared to others, doesn't happen a lot (thankfully) and is f**king low act, no matter the circumstance.

Those of you excusing or going light on May, you need therapy and a bit of self respect.

What he did to that young women was inexcusable.

There is no way on Gods earth i would watch it and I condemn the sick and perverted thought processes behind its making and distribution.

He can kiss anything he’s made in the game goodbye and as I understand it, he’s on the sex offenders register.

And I say there’s a genuine question as to whether or not you should be able to field a side in women in league round.

It’s incongruous that you should as you continue to enable and support his career.

This was a mentally and emotionally violent act against a defenceless young women without her knowledge or consent.

I first saw mention of it on the Dragons forum a couple of weeks back. Didn’t take to much notice at the time. Dragons fans were optimistic about him being something pretty good but more recently maybe not so much. He is a big unit in height and weight but I’ve never actually seen him so no nothing about him.
