Luai needs to develop a better long kicking game to play Origin this year IMO.

Cleary got murdered on the last since everyone knew he was the sole kicker.

Unless NSW build their sets like Pantherball (Dyl and Yeo forcing a quick PTB pre the kick) the same thing will happen.

I don't trust the space cadet to understand why Pantherball works.

Lazy work, I know lower graders from other clubs too and there are people waiting for 2023 deals to be signed off across the board

Has anyone considered that things have changed. Plain and simple. Remember when during talks it was thought Capewell would stay at Penrith ?. Sometimes new offers, or increased salary play into the narrative.

Blokes like Peter are just reporting on the current situation. That's all. It's often a fluid situation.

I think a million is probably his true market value but he’ll get more.

Hearing Hopgood is looking very good at training. His ball skills are very impressive. And he will get the starting lock position.
How good do people feel he might be this season? Can you see him keeping Matterson out once he is back from his holiday?

He can pass perfectly fine but the way Yeo does as an example slow to down and use his body language to freeze the defence, getting them to prepare to slide thinking he's slowing down to pass out the back then picks a short pass to have his runner hit a defensive line that's passive and on it's heels is beyond him. Passing itself is acceptable but the subtlety that people talk about when say Radley and Yeo are like extra halfbacks is something he will have to develop.

With that said he brings a lot of other positives and is altogether just a really tough, fit guy who uses the tools he does have really smartly. Will be pushing for the QLD Origin squad if not the team with a few injuries.

Good to hear, his situation needs to be sorted one way or the other and hopefully he elects to stay On a deal that is beneficial to both the club and Stephen.
