Fair question.

I don't think he'd be a big upgrade but he would be at least as competitive as every other middle we have save Herb (good nickname by the way) and would be a value buy if the Bunnies tip in. He's also probably bigger than all of our FRF other than BHU and Hunt.

So far this year Toby has improved but still too often makes mistakes and gives away penalties. BHU and Hunt are good on their day but far too inconsistent. Finucane is small for a prop and can get dominated at times. Hazleton and JCs are both rookies. Williams is working his way into the season but can often come up with an error at a crucial time.

Knight has to be a hard avoid. It’s fairly common knowledge he’s had issues with drink, drugs and just life in general, and is also more than vulnerable to head knocks. If he was a world beater, maybe worth a look, but he’s not…

St Helens have a good few young middle forwards who are very good, but none of them are giants. They’re all very similar to Dale in that they’re super fit, high intensity, but not enough size. We need a giant.
