Surprised we kept him, thought he may have been the middle we upgraded on.
Looks like we will have 99% the same squad next year again. Not a bad thing

There doesnt seem a lot out there for 2024.
NSA is off the table.
JWH would be max 2 years, but I think will stay at Roosters.

The shake out at Sea Eagles is to come, not sure if they have a cheap middle, and not Woods lol

Pretty stoked with our retention of current players. Penrith didn't need much recruitment, they just built well. Obviously we need to improve our roster but do it where it's needed right now. I watched Herb with intent once we signed him and I reckon, last 2 games were by far the best I've seen him play. As a starting prop forward.

Rolls had improved significantly since mid last year. Actually bends the line a fair bit now.. Better again this year after a strong World Cup too. Happy with this re-signing. Get Teig sorted and the top 17 are pretty much done till ‘25 except Wadeo and Moyza. Love how Mooney just keeps picking them off one by one,

I’ve been fairly underwhelmed with Herb until recently.
Starting definitely seems to being out the best in him.

And I think Royce, like BHU, needs games under his belt before he really starts to hit his straps.
Fingers crossed the next 3 weeks will bring out the best in him.

Going forward, I’m pretty happy to have a rotation of BHU and Herb to start, with Royce and one other off the bench.

The pack looks to be developing quite well from what we saw earlier this season.

Frenzy.

Perhaps, but I'm happy with the slow burn to a peak. We peaked too early last year and this year is a fortnight longer.

The way our squad has been quietly just going about their business and making a 'wall' so to speak. The significance of Fitz and Moons in creating a squad where both the players truly want to win a Premiership together, plus with the added bonus of not having to deal with the vultures much at all for the next few years, ie: the player managers.
Total solidarity.
Compare that to what some of the other clubs crap are going through, Manly, Saints, Tigers etc, and the ones that have had their 'stars' play their signings through the media for months.
Fitz and Moons - taking the player managers out of play since 2022
