Assume they were on the same money which two of these three would you rather have: BHU, Toby or Tall Tom?

It's BHU and Tall Tom for me, but I'd wager he would actually be cheaper than either BHU or Toby.

It would be disappointing to lose him, but it's a positive sign that players develop under Fitz and get picked up by others on upgraded deals. If you were a young player coming through that would be one of the things you'd be looking for right?

Has shown plenty thus far but if you wanna blow the chance of winning a comp soon …cya. Love the Nut but he needs to churn out more minutes and play the ball quicker for mine. But if the Neville Knight’s are paying on future potential knock yourself out big fella and best wishes.

I'm OK with him getting a deal and leaving. As most know I was never as impressed as the majority of sentimentalists. I'd take BBBs post and even add Bradbury as being potentially better.

Take Toby to Newy with you, Tommy so the Sharks can get a marquee fullback.

Sure until the depth signs for Newcastle.
I see that POV but when you are paying one prop around a mill you have to rationalise the squad. He's taking money from a spine position for example.

I think there's enough front row depth as it stands. Will be tested when one or more get wounded, but that can be said of any position.

Like hooker for example. We have Berrell as backup. That's it. After that the next hooker up, I am reliably informed is Hohepa Puru.

Will be good to maintain a modest war chest for incidentals

Tuks has re-signed. He can over take Hazo this year easily as a more mobile like for like.

As BBB mentioned there is JC. We also have Bradbury on the books. Young felix is signed until end of 26 or 27. BHU/Toby can talk to other clubs Nov 1st this year - same situation as Royce Hunt. I reckon one of them gets the same treatment.

We essentially swapped Hunt for AFB. Mooney has always been one of our most important people.

Crickets on WK contract.
Unlike Hazo and Ronnie, WK is off contract at a bad time for fullbacks - the vast majority of clubs have their fullback sorted right now - to drive up price and interest, you need a couple of the clubs who are desperate (Tigers/Dragons) to be chasing a fullback, and ideally another club or 2 who have an obvious gap in your position. All the desperate clubs have their fullbacks sorted - the only clubs with any sort of question mark over fullback are Dogs (but forwards are priority and I doubt have any money left), Riaders (got kids vying for the spot who they’re happy with) and Eels (but signed a young Panther). I don’t think any of those three are looking to recruit a FB.
As such, we know there’s no rush on WK, so we can play the long game, hold the line with any offer/value, see how he goes next year, see if anything falls out at other clubs that sees a better option come available.
I’m one of the few who are more than happy to re-sign WK (I believe he’s good value and has a ceiling high enough to help us get over the line), but the club shouldn’t be rushing to get him to sign, unless he’s happy to sign on for a good price for us.

Ison has been considered the successor for a couple of years now. I am happy to stick with WK with Ison waiting in the wings for his opportunity. Puts a bit of extra pressure on WK knowing his future is not secure beyond '25. As I've said before... If we managed to win a comp with Chad in the spine we can certainly win one with WK at the back. Ride the AFB wave....reckon they'll all buy in.

Every other position in the spine though then was elite, it ain't now.
