IMO Smith is an attacking player that can spot opportunities, so that's good enough for me. I understand we will not necessarily see him in 1st grade straight away, at least a few weeks in NSW Cup unless injuries ruin us. Official announcement can't be too far away.

So Porter showed last year imo that he was not a halfback who could create, so basically Sticky went through the recruitment last year and over the off season doing nothing to fix a glaring problem but take a gamble on youth and sign some coverage for depth.

Now two weeks in we are scrambling for some creativity, when with some planning we could have had him working with the rest of the team over the off season.

Forward pack still went forward well last year. A good halfback could have done something with that.
