Ricky won't be laughing too much if he's paying a portion of Fensoms contract to play here. It's about time we got some back the other way, Mooney is supposedly a specialist at deals like this.

We're paying him in the general realm of 500k a year, he's about 3 players back in the pecking order for FG and he's got a year left to go on on his contract. If we have to pay 200k or even 300k of his deal one year to play at the knights, and save the remainder, that's sure as shit better than paying him 500k to play at mounties.

Stuart will be happy to offload him and free up what cap space he can. Its worth noting we managed to get Tapine and Paulo this year and had the majority of their wages paid for by other clubs, so Stuart's no slouch in this area either.

Personally i hope Fensom does leave, he's good enough to be playing FG and helping some team... just not at a team pressing for a premiership.

If you read the article, the 700k is from his cap space this year and next year both being rolled into next year due to him missing the entire season this year other than 28 mins.

So that puts him more at about 400k per season which is about what would be expected

Will have around $1.2m free for 2017.

Not much good when the club is about as popular as cancer. The plan for that money was Bird, Kostjaysn, Rochow and two Pauli level signings. One of those targets is contracted for 2017 and has publicly said they don't want to come here and another will be playing for Souths.

He's got experience on his side and that's about it, I can live with this signing if he's on minimal coin ($100k-$150k) just to fill a spot for a year. I wouldn't want him on any longer than a 1 year deal though.

Heighington is 34 and over the hill and was never that good anyway. Doesn't have any impact in the Sharks pack would very much struggle in ours. We need experience but we should aim higher then him.

He doesn't seem to meet Browny's recruitment criteria seeing that he's neither old or completely untalented.
To be fair though Rory Kostjaysn had a very good first stint for the Cowboys tonight.

I don't recall seeing anything that would warrant a very good rating. I'd have rated Kostjacyn more along the lines of adequate. He mostly just passed the ball short from the play the ball, did he have any darts from dummy half?
