Sounds like Matt Scott is about to re-sign with the Cowboys who have offered an upgraded deal. Not that surprising really given that he seemingly wasn't making much effort to get down here to tour the facilities. Would have been a nice signing but there are other forwards we can look at who would probably come a bit cheaper and with less risk.

I did think Finucane was probably overpriced for what he was, but at least you knew the quality you were going to get.

Something has to give at the Cowboys surely. Upgrading Scott, re-signing Thurston, landing McLean on big bucks.

Bolton would be great but he doesn't seem the type to move clubs.

Exactly. We are next to no chance of getting Taumalolo from the cows. Players like him want premierships.

Unless we offer him well overs, he won't be coming.

Ponga was such a crucial signing. Once he arrives and presumably becomes a star, our team will have developed that bit more than where we are now and then, the better players will consider us an option.

Meh not that bothered on Finucane with the price tag he would have come with. He's a good player but not sure if he's worth $650k per year. More like $400k, hasn't broken into any rep teams or anything so shouldn't demand rep money.

The Scott thing I'm a bit more disappointed in but hey I'd rather we know now so that we can move on and look for signings elsewhere.
