Rumoured Targets 3

Haven't heard that he's confirmed but we're in the box seat for his signature after the Raiders dropped out.

He averaged 91m from 10 runs per game coming off the bench last year. Maybe in a starting role we could see better stats but he'd be a solid signing no doubt as long as he ends up being like Slade and not being a flop outside of the Melbourne system.

Had a feeling from comments made that a signing was in the wind, can believe it is Glasby, hope it's the first of 3-4 with an odd angry big bastard

Don't rate him, and not what we need - we have enough undersized plodders.

But obviously Brown likes him and would know him from the Storm system.

We need a few more upgrades, based on performances this squad has Esee, Griffin, Dan, Fitz, Guerra playing to acceptable 1st grade standard each week, Lillyman, Heighinton, Barnett, JSaf and Buhrer struggling.

Heigno not "struggling" per se, but also not going to be here next year.

If we sign Glasby, Ah Mau and Boyd its a big success.

If we sign Pangai and one of Ah Mau/Boyd it's a wild success.

Having said that, Boyd becomes questionable if they keep cutting interchange.

He’s been great. One of our best forwards this year. I know there’s not much competition but for a bloke that’s 35 and was more meant to be here for his influence off the field he’s been fantastic for us.

Like Mac said he won’t be here next year anyway though.

I agree it would be nice to see what happens with the interchanges before looking at props. In the current game we need some big boys like those at the Raiders but I wouldn’t touch any of them if the interchanges drop. Big but not fit.

Hmmm... will have to wait to see I guess. Can't say I'm thrilled unless he was cheap and there are a quite a few more signings soon to be announced. I think Brown needs to let a few players go at the end of this season. We need to strengthen the squad further to compete with the top 8 clubs.

Wouldn't touch Boyd if interchange reduces again. He can be someone else's over paid, oversized 20 minute prop. Not a problem you would want.

I just hope Glasby is the worst of next years signings because I would've thought he's exactly what we DON'T need. If he's just a Heighington replacement...fine. Hope we didn't pay much

Although I’m not excited by the Glasby signing at all it makes a lot of sense when you remember that Lilyman and Heighington won’t be here next year. I know King and Yates are in the same mold and could replace them as the honest toiler type but we don’t even know if they’re going to kick on yet.

Have a bit of faith. Brown and Mooney aren’t idiots. They’ve been on the money with our signings.
