Unfortunately we may not have a choice Pangai seems destined to stay in Brisbane and Ah Mau by reports has received a big offer from the Warriros.

If the Glasby signing is true then it's a pretty good move I think. I know he's not in that mould of a big body with some aggression that we're after but plenty of people who watch way more footy than most of us and do it day in day out for a living have a big wrap on him so I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

At the very least playing in that Melbourne system for a number of years puts him ahead of a lot of other guys who haven't. Look at what Slade has done since getting here, and he only played about 30 games off the bench before this season but now looks he's a ready made first grader. So surely Glasby who has played more games and even a couple of origin games last year (whether it was deserved or not is still debatable) would be in a pretty good position to kick on like Slade at a different club.

Obviously we still need a couple of big boys who can add some serious starch to the pack but adding Glasby to our current team is definitely an improvement, I can't see how he takes us backward.

Doesn't take us backward, but we are losing Lillyman and Heighno and he doesn't improve on them much if at all.

I think it does, he'd play bigger minutes than Heighno and probably better quality output than what Lillyman has given us so far this year.

I get the feeling we keep hoping Saifitis will end up that... not confident

I think it’s more the case that we’re just having a horrendous time signing quality props. Brown has been chasing everyone for a couple of years and they keep turning us down.

I don’t know why props won’t go near us. We have a good spine and money.

Not a fan of his but definately a big strong fiery type that would enspire those around him like the Safiti boys, he is the type we need.

I would be very happy if we got Tapau, he's big and intimidating, eats metres for breakfast and can throw an offload, we haven't had a forward who was a genuine offloader since Cuthbertson.

He's got an error or two in his game but it's not like we don't have that already so I'd happily take that trade-off.

If we could pick him up, plus Ah Mau and Glasby (assuming the rumours are true) then that's a really decent recruitment drive!

Taupau is exactly what we need, and exactly the kind of cheeky thief signing that Moons likes waiting for. I could see it happening, and it'd be huge for us.

Fingers crossed.

The Newcastle Knights are interested in bringing Leeds Rhinos utility Joel Moon back to the NRL for the 2019 season.

Moon played for the Brisbane Broncos and the New Zealand Warriors from 2006 to 2011.

For the past six and a half seasons he has been playing in England in Super League.

Now the Queenslander, who is off-contract, is keen to return to home.

Inside Sport understands Moon's management have held discussions with the Knights.

The 29-year-old can play in the centres and the halves.

An Australian Schoolboy in 2005, he played for the Indigenous All Stars in 2011.

Moon has scored 105 tries in 250 games in both the NRL and Super League.

Haven't watched him for a long time but he was just ok back in his NRL days. Sounds like he has been playing 5/8, but would make more sense if we are getting him as a centre option.

Not too sure how reliable the rag is either
