2 and 8 was where I thought we would be looking at the draw, but beating the dragons not the chooks.

Need to jag a few wins in the next 4-6 weeks, after that plenty of players back. The side will look completely difference (ie. cleaned of the jones/randall/crossland type scrubs).
Players coming back in the next 4-6 are Barnett and Fitz. I really don’t see them 2 improving us that much. Milford at 14 is a big unknown

maybe when we get Brailey and Young back …but by that time there surely will be other injuries to contend with

Let’s face it, this year is a right off

It's not a write-off yet, but slots assessment is accurate imo. We need to jag wins over the next month, doesn't matter how they come - and then hope for/expect a hot run over the backend of the season when the draw is a bit softer, and our team is a bit stronger.

It's not unreasonable at this stage - but the ship needs to be steadied, and quickly. Had we won the Dragons match, I'd actually have us in alright shape. It was SO Newcastle Knights to lose that match. It's just... ugh... we all saw it coming. Frustrating stuff.

Croker is... a fine depth player. Since we're still well stocked in the front row, and I'm sure he's a cheap signing, I'm not upset about this one or anything. It's more or less a non-event outside of the fact he's knocking back Wayne, which is a nice little sugar coating on it.
still only 22 and in his last couple of games looked like he'd really improved as well. Would be on a pie and a coke and bleeds red and blue.

Croker IS the type I'm happy to keep. He's shown immense growth in a short amount of time and has plenty of tomorrows.

As long as the deal is right then he's a perfect part of the full squad. Is already equal with what Josh King offered us, and has plenty of more strings to his bow.

If he can't get his 100m, 30 tackles and only make 1 mistake a week, that's all we need from him.

Croker is a 22yo prop. He has years before he hits his prime and is clearly making steady progress

Hes exactly the type of player we need in our top 30. Anyone suggesting otherwise is having a laugh

I've seen enough of him coming through the grades to believe performances like the one he had vs the Tigers aren't a fluke. He also has a passing game/offload that we haven't seen in first grade yet.

Well if Phil Gould rates a youngster, he must be gold then!

This.

Now, if only our coaching staff could continually develop these types of players….

i honestly am gobsmacked Huddersfield and Wigan have not moved
players on to clear the money to keep Pryce and KPP respectively. Probably the lure of the NRL won out. Great work by Zammit if true.
