One things is certain - we need more than Ponga in our spine if were are to improve as a team.

They can recruit all the Angus Crichtons' they like but unless the Knights have another marquee player the team will languish as also rans.

I'd throw the kitchen sink at Munster.

Would kill for Munster, I just don't think we're a snowflakes chance in hell of enticing him here, regardless of price. That isn't to say I wouldn't pursue him.
With every no you get closer to a yes, perfecting along the way how to best package an offer to a blue chip signing.

They should already have a dossier on Munster and know everything about him ( or any target soon to be on the market ) along with a group of wealthy benefactors for "3rd party deals"

Leave no stone unturned.

He is pretty nimble on his feet so will have no problems dodging it...

To get Munster we'd need to pay $1.5M

Great player certainly but that f**ks our cap pretty badly. Who else do we get to play around him?

I reckon he can get that sort of money at the Dolphins. He is hesitant because they won't be a premiership force for some years. Though, they will be before us. No way he comes here.

YOUNG GUN KNIGHT ON THE MOVE

Utility back Tex Hoy could be the next player to leave the under-performing Knights.

Hoy, who has been given a chance to show his wares in recent weeks and played fairly well, is being shopped around by his management.

The 22-year-old local junior, who can play both fullback and five-eighth, is looking for a regular top grade spot and has had expressions of interest from a couple of clubs.

wonder if they know he was off contract for this season and had no takers before we offered him a part time deal, my guess is there will once again be little to no interest and we will once again hand out a sympathy deal

To be fair, at least he would be earning it (so far) this year, rather than an actual hand out to fill out spots.

Just looking at the above, there's not much diff between a 1m superstar vs part-time deal bloke.
