Timing is immaculate from Milford.

Celebrated his 200tg NRL game in the worst possible way with us and says f**k that I’m outta here.

Creates some problems for AOB moving forward too. We haven’t had the chance to build our spine combo and if Clune and Clifford are on the books next year then you may as well get started on building that combo right now.

In fact if he continues with Milford I’d be pretty annoyed because it’s not in the best interest of the club.

Like Milford, there's no real reason to persist with Hoy if he's moving on.

Also looks like Ponga has his mojo back so I'm not sure it's the best time to move him. Maybe the last couple rounds if it comes to that.

If we don't get Pryce or KPP here next year things are feeling very dire from my perspective.

This is right. But it shouldn’t be Ponga’s decision.

I still think we should give Hodgson a red hot crack at fullback…..I remember when he came over with Young, Bailey was the one you supposedly had more potential, Young started off very raw and has taken about 12months to really find his feet

Bailey had just had some bad luck with injuries, if he can get fit and have a full pre season, I’d like to see him at fullback and ponga at 6

Unless all the teams above us get done for rorting the salary cap we’re clearly not making the finals now so AOB needs to start planning for 2023 imo. Bring a few rookies in and give them some game time and anyone who’s moving on shouldn’t be getting a first grade jersey unless we don’t have a choice. Even if it means Clune & Clifford in the halves I can live with that, they showed some good signs there early in the season so who knows maybe they can put some good play together. I’ve still got hope that Clifford can make something of himself but it sounds like some non-football related things are getting in the way of that so who knows?

I’ve said it before but we should be trying to get Corey Oates to fill Edrick Lee’s left wing spot next year, he’s big and physical and makes great metres on kick return. Oates and Young would make an intimidating wing combo.

He had that break where he needed to deal with something off field.
It had an impact on his season.
It could mean he needs to move on to better deal with it or he might be able to kick on.
I'm open in that I reckon we haven't seen the best of him.
