I think depth across the NRL is bad right now. Our best hope is we get some good juniors that kick on for us because all recruiting is at a premium.

There are good judges here who said he always tried his best but never looked up to FG. I'm not gonna crap on the club for not keeping Hosking. As I said, fair be upset about retention of Fitz, Jones (we handed him a contract on the back of a handful of nice games which no one really complained about at the time) and Johns but we're really digging bottom of the barrel here I think.

Sure club may have missed Latrell but they also identified Dom Young and got him.. We also signed this 19 year-old from New Zealand meant to be an exciting edge forward prospect. So I think wheels are in motion to rectify our issues.

Hudson Young and Beau Fermor would be the ones to be disappointed over. Would've formed a good edge combo for us and probably at half the cost of Fitz and Frizell.
Very true on Young and Fermor.

unfortunately Fermor wanted to go home to QLD and Young took roids while here, with our history we had no choice but to punt him.

Ticks all the boxes for a knights edge forward.

Below average athleticism

agreed, add to the fact that he's already 25 years old so he'd be pretty close to his ceiling already. If we can get KPP for next season I think we'll be pretty sweet for edge forwards with Friz, Hethrington and *shudders* Fitz. The real worry for mine is the spine which looks an absolute shambles

We are in real trouble with our spine and have been for quite a while and all four positions have had problems for the last season or two compounded by the Pearce fiasco and the Brailey long term injury with players filling in not quite up to standard, Clune and Randall try. Ponga is having recurring HIA problems that will likely trouble him in the future and now our current 6, Milf is off to Dolphins and nothing is certain regarding Clifford.
On top of this we have no signs of our younger players making the grade for another season or two.
We have a few playing reserves and Flegg but unfortunately they are not being developed like one would hope and that needs to happen now, not later but now and then hopefully we will see the benefits of this in 2024 but as far as 2022 and 2023 you can look at them as potential wooden spoon seasons.
Unfortunately the players giving the most such as Klem and Frizell will likely be gone by the time major improvements occur.
Sorry for the doom and gloom

The Wests Tigers roster could be set for an overhaul over the summer. Jackson Hastings’ future at the club isn’t guaranteed.

There are a number of people at the club who don’t believe he is a good influence on the team despite the image he portrays in the media for the fans. He has become a cult hero, but the view is different among most internally.

The Knights had discussed a potential play for his services. Inquiries were also made with the Bulldogs but it is not expected Hastings will end up at Belmore.

It’s not the last we’ve heard about Hastings. Nor Luke Brooks for that matter.
