That is what should happen if this in fact did eventuate but........ Mac is right. That will not suit the big clubs and the headlines will have people screaming for Greenburg's head.

This Cronk situation should make things quite interesting in regards to Bird, with Parra a good chance of turning their attention towards Cronk. In all likelihood there is going to be a lot of movement in the halves at a number of clubs as they look to pick up or discard players- similar to what happened with outside backs a couple of years ago during the offseason.

This is not me trolling.

The rumored contract amounts offered aren't alot different. Knights have offered more however bird will have to take into consideration things such as:

1. Will he be playing finals series games with the knights in the next 3 years?
2. Will he be playing well enough in the knights team to play origin? Add in potential loss of earnings for not playing these origin games.

They're 2 huge factors which im sure he is aware of and likely what is holding up him making a decision already.

If all he wanted was the most money he could get he would have signed with knights already.

He's a great player and good luck to him if he takes the money and runs.

1. Yes, if we sign bird, a decent prop and decent centre we are well in the mix for a top 8 spot.

2. If guys like woods and teddy can get origin spots playing in a terrible tigers team, and gagai can get a spot in the qld team when he hasn't been doing to wel for us, I am sure jack bird can keep his origin spot.

Yeh, playing in a shitty team doesnt lose the good players their Origin spots, it just shows which players are actually good and which were cruising behind great teams (Hodkinson *cough*)

Some Bulldogs fans on social media have been rubbishing Graham's form this year. I haven't really seen much of the bulldogs on TV but if they are paying part of his salary he would be a good mentor for our younger forwards.

Would be like Matt Scott except better and without the major injury concerns. It would be a massive get for us. I'll be shocked if Bulldogs are really getting rid of him though.
