Rumoured Targets 3

We just got rid of a half and a fullback/half, both positions where we have the least amount of depth

Either Knights management have some aces up their sleeves and we are bringing in some top shelf replacements or we'll see a repeat of 2022 where they let quality go and bring in no one

I dont have confidence in the former

mate the difference this time round is neither of these 2 are quality. They wouldn't be in first grade at any other club, so it is no loss for us and it frees up salary cap and roster spots, enabling us to improve our roster.

Agreed we better have something lines up though

It pisses me off tbh.
Apparently Clifford fell off a cliff this year because he’s homesick.

So we let him go overseas.

I feel if we had a stronger coach and club we could have rallied around him and got some decent performances out of him.

Went to shit as soon as his spiral bomb license got ripped up. f**ked knows why.

So we’re looking at a Gamble/Clune halves pairing. Dolphins are gonna have some competition for that spoon.

There’s a couple of quotes from Clifford in the Hull press release where is throwing shade at knights in a non subtle way

“I look foward to feeling wanted” things along those lines

Yep, looks like Garrick and Brooks won’t be coming, lost Clifford, Ponga to stay f/b, Gamble and Clifford 6 & 7.
If Klem leaves we have plenty money and spaces on the roster but no one to throw it at.
We also have little depth in several positions thank goodness for Mann and Crosslands

Our two utilities are our depth.

Maybe the quality is less sure but they are still the best options we had. Now we have lesser players moving up the order and even less depth now. Clearing roster spots is pointless if we dont fill them with better quality than we let go

Tossing up Mann & Crossland would make most people think you were telling some sick joke, but I would bet that as we speak the incompetent master coach in waiting & his faithful sidekick Joey are hatching a genius plan that has both of these specimens in the run on side or thereabouts. Another interesting question is whether $Kalyn$ moving to 5/8th will be a success? He makes no attempt to bring the ball back or take on the line from kicks now (nickname should be Lay down Sally), so why would he suddenly want to take on the line in such an important position in heavy traffic? I think we might see a fair few hospital passes & hail Mary`s mixed in with the occasional bit of brilliance next season, hoping all outside backs have good medical cover in advance. He may be able to cover up his defensive shortcomings, in a bit closer with a lot less one on one & could hide at marker when it gets a bit rough. One thing we should always remember is that in our hour of need we can always count on restroom attendant Kurt to help his footy mates & pull them out of the crap, on & off the field!
