I think you're right, but either way we need to look for next year if Mann doesn't re-sign and no guarantee Brailey is back on time and healthy.

Unless we're pinning our hopes on our reserves #9.

If the opportunity is there to get the best reserve hookers right now, we should be taking it.

What I want to know is what's the bloody point of going into every season with a squad of 28-29 if you're not going to use those roster spots in a situation like this? They must be going after a hooker, even though we're not hearing about it. There's no excuse not to be except pure incompetance.

I've not seen much and I know he's had limited game time so it's probably not fair to judge. What I have seen didn't inspire much confidence though.

Yeh Berrell is a great dummy half runner but Smoothy is a much better defender and is a good goal kicker which we badly need. Smoothy is also 4 years younger and would be more likely to gain an immediate release given he’s only on a development deal and behind 3 other specialist hookers
