Sadly this development isn't very shocking or surprising. It's sad that the only glimmer of hope for improving the squad was an untested (although highly rated) rookie that we were throwing the bank at - and he still knocked it back.
Losing Leo is going to suck too, but I've been pretty vocal that he's not worth bending the clubs salary cap around. Delighted if he stays for a decent price, we could use the good news.
As always though, our improvement is going to have to come mostly from within. I'm encouraged by what i've seen from kids we've been bringing through lately - and there's a few very very likely candidates that will emerge in the next 12-18 months as well. Sadly, none of them are halfbacks.
