It looks like lots of people disagree with Manu in the middle but I don't see it as a weaken one position to strengthen another I see it as getting all 3 of Edwards, Scott and Manu on at the same time. Same result could be achieved with Scott moving to the middle. ATM I think Tepai need to take a back seat to them and maybe for him to see 30min off the bench.

We definitely need to strengthen upfront first both quality and quantity (i.e deoth)

So essentially we have 0 tpa's for next year and 500 k less to spend on our cap. Would be interesting if we signed Hayne with legitimate tpa's.

Mate, he's contracted until 2018...

I can only tell you that we're going to have to work really hard to retain him when the time comes but at the moment he's contracted for the next 2 and a half years so unless the club grant him a release than he's not going anyway soon.

That could only apply to TPAs signed before we got busted (not to new TPAs that our players might agree to now). And we don't know what amount of those TPAs were already in the cap expenditure (i.e. under the Marquee Player stuff).

Yeah just going by what's been thrown around by media outlets. I guess being 500k below the 8 ball wouldn't be too bad if Hayne signs for next season and has 400-500k worth of tpa's. I know it's a pipe dream but what else do us eels fans have....

Yeah and that's why we need to get our shit together quickly and somehow get a functioning board together, we may be 1 or 2 less players in the squad but there's no reason why we can't get a competitive squad together ..

Amazing to think that neither the storm or dogs were penalised the following year they got busted breaching. This is something I think our club should be looking into.
