Speaking of underwhelming performers, has anyone seen Tepai Moeroa's figures till last nights game?

72m and 27.5 tackles per game. What a pitiful performance thus far. For all the hype and c**k stroking over this bloke, he is the biggest pillow in our team.
Sounds like a weekly boo-hoo award contender...?

Imagine the butt hurt if parra ended up with NAS and Segeyaro the year after we sign Foran and Jennings from opposition supporters....

NAS very much yes, would perfectly replace Jnr.

Looking forward to Kaysa taking his chance, love the idea of the Peats return and maybe there is cap for the two of them, have to wait and see

Peats won't be back... just like most other players clubs let go over the years regardless of why.

He averages 100m a game from 25 minutes of footy and 9-10 hitups. The kid is beasting it and only 20 years old. Absolute star

Well at this stage he is well ahead of Tapai, but not deserving of some of the hype that some are heaping on him. Still a long way to go.

And yes he will probably end up in Yawnion, they are after him.

If Lillyman is off contract I would have a crack at him. Add Segeyaro in as well and we have some punch again.

I think if we get a no frills frontrower(no offload or passing game) then Segeyaro is vital to our team to offer variety in the forwards and getting us on the front foot.

In fact I would go after Segeyaro no matter who else we signed.

He has the potential to be a superstar and would be absolutely wasted in Union.
Worthy of the hype? Maybe not yet ... But he is young and at the age you recruit for a few years down the track when he reaches that potential.

He is exactly the type of player we should be looking at.

I think Lilyman is a good player but he is 33 next year.

Yes he is and I would offer him a 2 year deal which would see him out and hopefully Junior Paulo will then come home after that.

In a perfect world, but we all know men plan and Gods laugh.

So get Seg, and any other frontrower that averages over 120m per game.

But we definitely need a frontrower that can provide those types of figures each and every week. Otherwise we will definitely be a weaker team next year.

We certainly can't rely on boy wonder Tapai to punch out those types of numbers up the middle. That is a certainty.

I don't think Junior Paulo is ever "coming home"... he actively chased the highest coin - a bit different to the Peats scenario.

Peats is the only hooker in comp not to have LBA or try assist this season.... Rein got one this weekend.
We dodged a bullet.

Hill for Eels?

Should he miss out on the vacant position as the NRL's head of football, don't be surprised if Andrew Hill is sounded out about taking over at Parramatta.

Hill, who has previously worked for the Eels and cross-code rivals GWS, holds an executive position at Rugby League Central. The NRL is yet to decide if and who will replace the head of football role that has been vacant since Todd Greenberg took the chief executive's job.

The Eels won't be able to overhaul their executive until a final determination is made on the futures of the 'gang of five', but it's likely they will be looking for a new chief executive. Hill, former Roosters boss Bernie Gurr and former Storm chief executive Mark Evans, are likely to be among those on a shortlist should Parramatta need to hire a headhunting firm.

Mixed messages

Infinity tore up their contract with Parramatta because the club wasn't open and honest about its salary cap investigation, although transparency doesn't appear to be one of the company's strong points either.

We were reliably informed Infinity had terminated its commercial partnership arrangement with the Eels, so we rang chief executive Graeme Holm for comment as a courtesy.

"We haven't, so I'm not sure where you are getting your information from," Holm said on Thursday.

"As it stands today, there are no issues. It's probably a bit of rumour mill."

So you can imagine the surprise when we read quotes attributed to Holm in a different publication the next day, in which he confirmed the termination with Parramatta. Holm won't get the benefit of the doubt next time.

He has had too many games this year with less then 85 meters made. For a starting prop on HUGE $$$ thats not acceptable.

Rival pivots Luke Keary and Corey Norman ready to settle futures

Date

Adrian Proszenko
Chief Rugby League Reporter

Luke Keary and Corey Norman, two of the biggest name playmakers on the open market, are just weeks away from settling their futures.

Keary and Norman went head-to-head on Friday night in the clash between Parramatta and South Sydney, with both showing suitors their worth on the open market.

Keary was dropped to the bench to accommodate Greg Inglis' shift from fullback to five-eighth, but made the most of his time on the field. The diminutive playmaker scored a try and set up another to clinch victory for his side.

Norman led the Eels attack in the absence of Kieran Foran in another solid display.

After knocking back Parramatta's initial $1.8 million, three-year deal, Norman is expected to stay put when the club tables an increased offer of about $2 million.
