Only my opinion, obviously I can't know what they're thinking like Pou reckons he can but I think it's because our hooker sucks. The forwards are trying to create some momentum because we can't do that from the base of the ruck.

With a 6 playing 7, a fullback/centre playing 6 and a rookie 1 in our spine you'd think with money to burn we would be looking to upgrade our 9 coming into this season??? Instead we got old man Isaac and two blokes who are made of glass and never showed anything to suggest they are first grade quality. His service is fine. His biggest issue is the odd forward pass, which isn't a sign of poor service - it's a sign of good service pushing the rules. Most of the time he gets away with it.

His service is fine for Wenty, you argue just for the sake of it. You can't help yourself or criticise anything done or said by anyone at the club. They know better because they are at the club and in a position to know. You've been spouting the same BS for 7 or 8 years and in the time we haven't got close to semi final football.......

So? That doesn't equate to blaming him for everything as you've insinuated, and it doesn't say that the way the forwards are playing isn't a problem. It says that I believe his poor play at hooker is affecting our go forward and our ability to create forward momentum (which is blatantly obvious), and that's a factor in making the forwards play differently. Once again, I never said he was our only problem. I said, along with several others, that hooker is our biggest problem.

That statement speaks volumes about our coaching staff then IMO, he's never shown anything other then being a 20m bench player at best. Same staff that continually saw something in Sef,Morgan,Kelly and were happy to extend someone like Taka for 3 more years......

I'm not just blaming him, but i feel it all starts at dummy half and thats where the most of our problems lie. He doesn't pick himself so it's not all his fault, look how Cam Smith can get absolute plodders over the advantage line week in week out. It's why he will and should be an immortal. IDG has been a loss for us this year(crazy i know) he led our defensive line and missed SFA tackles in the middle. Sure his attacking game was mud but at least his service throughout was at a passable first grade standard.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not really defending him as such i just don't think any players are helping each other.

Bellamy gets players to know exactly what to do and where to be at all times. They are ridiculously fit and they are always there for each other. How many times over the years do you see our players half arse it when there is a player fighting in the tackle? We never run in numbers which is something the good teams do.

I'm not sure that BA is a great tactician, he would be best to bring in someone who is.

Off the top of my head Farah, McInnes, Segyaro, Cook

Cook was always staying, there is a reason Farah wasn't wanted by 15 other clubs and is now struggling. BA spoke with segyaro. Maybe McInnes may have been an option but I am sure BA has reasons.

On top of all that, the eels probably did consider all
those options but a lot comes down to price as well.

Not only did that happen once it happened twice, but it doesn't matter we don't attack through our dummy half so anyone can do the job. Mannah and Vave just missed the cut......

Kaysa was a talented junior, so there's no issue with signing him up on a back up as we did deal based on that. The problem is he's not a first grader, but realistically you don't know that until he gets a good go there. Plus he would have been behind IDG had he been fit. So I can't really be critical of the coaching staff there, we just need to address the problem as soon as we can. Sadly that might be the off season....

He's been re-signed on potential, and that's fine because he's never been on much, but he's not first grade standard. Compare him to Jayden Brailey at the Sharks....

Brailey has done f**k all. He just passes and backs up his dominant forward pack. In defence he rarely makes first up contact. Kritchard is first man into nearly every tackle.

In attack Brailey has zero tackle breaks or line breaks. Kritchard at least has a line break, as well as averaging a tackle break per game.

And if the dummy half isn't a threat running the ball then the forwards are easy pickings and get dominated often losing the ruck.

No dummy half is a threat without quick play-the-balls, and in our team we shift the ball after a fast ruck rather than going back through the middle.

And if it's just about quality forwards the Dogs would of won the comp the last 5 years, Smith has played with absolute plodders in the forward and got them to GF's Most of them aren't even lose to the same once they leave him and their system.

We got close in 2014 and again last year. This year we have won roughly half of our games and are again close to the top eight.
