I am really surprised to hear someone say (cant be bothered going back) that we need 3/4's. I am actually very confident that between Taka/Gutherson/Jennings we are ok but I guess the more I think about it if Hayne is 6 and Gutherson 1, we may need another good backup. I think Taka and Jennings are very much a top centre preference personally. But I do think there isn't much behind them in depth allowing for injuries which they both currently have.

Yep, we're on 3/4 short imo. We don't know whether or not Semi will win his court casr and be available in 2017. Add French to the names above and we've got five possibilities for the backline but on of them will likely be playing fullback.

If Toutai, Bureta and Folau are our first backups if Semi is rubbed out or if there is a backline injury, then we are in trouble.

All the more reason to spend Firan's money on a say three decent players across several positions imo, rather than sink it all into the return of Hayne.
