Fine, so you are alleging that being our leading performer for the stats by which playmakers are assessed was irrelevant to his Dally M wins.
To be frank, you are an idiot and you are wrong.
Wait a minute, are you now trying to argue Hayne won playmaking awards again? Rather than just playing awards, of which one aspect was his playmaking abilities..
Why does his "awarded" status as a playmaker mean so much to you Baz? Is it because it's a central reason why you think he should be re-signed to play (make) - something Hayne has never done before?
Michael Morgan plays exactly that same role and he wears 6. Shaun Johnson plays a very similar role and he wears 7.
With Norman as the number one half, why can Hayne not play the exact same role and wear 6 instead of 1? I presume the answer will be because Phantom Bart doesn't like the guy?
So are you suggesting Arthur change his structure to a primary and secondary playmaker at 6 and 7, to accomodate Hayne as the secondary playmaker next year? Even though Hayne is untested in 80min frontline defence, and even though Hayne would be earning more than our primary playmaker?
I've never met the guy so I don't not like Hayne, I just don't think he is a good value footballer and I don't think we should sign him and expect his to be anything like he was (from fullback) in those two highpoint seasons.
Once again, you are basically saying that the quality of players around Hayne at that time was irrelevant, which is clearly not true. As to your question, what part of being our leading playmaker for several years disqualifies him as a frontline playmaker in your eyes?
Wait, so now he's our leading playmaker again, instead of being "one of" our playmakers? And was our leading playmaker for several years at fullback and gets credit for that success, but when he was a playmaker in the halves for a time in the seasons inbetween the lack of success was due to those around him... confusing.
And you're seriously asking what's different to being a playmaker from fullback compared to being a playmaker in the halves? Well Baz, as previously stated that difference would be needing to do 80mins of front line defence in the halves as well as full time hands on the ball playmaking as a 6 or 7, compared to only needing to do "best effort" defence from fullback, and "choose when you chime in" playmaking from fullback.
When you've finished arguing with me about how much of a fan of Jaryd you are Baz, just let me know when you want to discuss the merits of Tim Smith too..
