Is Salesi Faingaa part of the top squad - and locked in....
Heard a rumour signed by Tigers. Bloody hope not, we identify a good player, develop him and bang, forget to sign him! If we lose him we have rocks in our heads. Looks the best prospect forward we've developed since Junior, and we don't seem to develop forwards very often. Can anyone confirm or not?

Thought we signed him from Wests (could be wrong). So maybe we don't have rocks in our heads!!

He was a tigers (or at least a western suburbs magpies junior) and they didn't want him/didn't sign him to a contract. We signed him as a 17 year old. I don't know how long he is signed for but of all the clubs he would sign with why would it be to the one who didn't want him?

I wouldn't be getting a woody over a player who has looked good vs USA & Wales in the RLWC. Good project player but you wouldn't get into a bidding war over him. Let's face it only one or two players from any NYC year get to play NRL and of those bugger all will ever reach 100 games. They are like racehorses and most end up in the knackery.

This was posted in the eels site on the 1st November:

RLWC – Eels named in Round Two team lists http://yi.nzc.am/cW5vW4

We refer to Faingaa as our NYC cup player.

This probably indicates he is still signed to us, as Nov 1 is the start of the 17/18 NRL contract. Doubt they would refer to him, if he had left.

Meh it is the Eels. Surprised they didn't list Hayne, Tui & Wiliame as Eels players

To be fair, Connor Broadhurst didn’t even look good in the under 20s.
