They have already got the other Nikorima who did OK this year. Also Bird could play 5/8 if he needed to. And then there's Dargan who may step up (but probably I think he's down the list a couple of rungs this year at least)

Sounds like this Payne Haas might be a good one. Then again, he might turn out to be another Pauli Pauli.

Are we overpaying our other players big time? Not one player in our squad is paid more then $1m yet Roosters have a plethora.

Even Nikorima was on $350k for a young rookie half so would have to think rest of Rooster's players are well paid. Their dollars stre..............................tch mush further than Bronco's dollars apparently.

Seriously there needs to be an investigation into TPAs and if the other 14 club bosses don't demand it they have rocks in their heads.

How many guys do they have in squad that are cheap?
Big dollars would be

Teddy, Cronk 900k +

400k- 500k odd
Cordner(his next contract will be bumper)
Jwh
Ferguson
Keary
Napa
Friend
Latrell mitchel MAYBE


Under 350k the rest.

At eels id say
Around 800k

Moses+ Norman

Not far off

Jennings

Around 500k

Manu
Tepai
Scott
Hayne
Kane Evans wouldnt be too far off it.




Id also suggest guys like Gutherson, Bevan, would of had handsome upgrades but not quite at that figure.

I can also only count 16 regular first graders in their squad. Thats including Nikorima and Matterson.
Eels have 21 leaving out Kaysa,W.Smith,Gower and King.

And i reckon we can expect 1 more genuine first grader added to our squad.

Sure they got Cronk and Teddy. A few injuries and their team will fold quickly. Much better balanced squads out there.
Its not like they have the best forward in game and the two Aussie halves. If anyone fudging numbers look North. Keep in mind Scott signed after knights offered huge deal and coote was also the man of moment when signed.
Hess is also the hottest young forward in game and im sure they added a rep player from the storm?

I agree with Pou and hindy111 - we don't have the top-heavy roster that the Chookies do, but we have fantastic depth.

If we lose a top 17 player, we have quality depth players to step up.

I really like what Arthur has done with our club.

I'm confident that if we miss a key player for a large chunk, that we have a capable replacement ready to go.

If you hadn’t have lost those 4 toes in a mowing accident you may have been able to count 20
