Anyone who disagrees with him is a clone of me. I think he can only remember one name at time, tbh. He hasn't got the brain power for more
I actually thought you would be offended at me being compared to you. There's 15 posters on here that go harder than me. I'm not anywhere near your league.

Dapto Canaries rugby league player Tory Brunning collapsed and died after a game in Wollongong.

A promising young rugby league player has collapsed and died between games at a Wollongong football ground.

Tory Brunning, 22, from the Dapto Canaries played reserve grade against Wests Devils on Saturday before reportedly leaving the field at halftime complaining of flu-like symptoms.

He was scheduled to back-up for the first grade clash at 3pm before falling ill and collapsing in the sheds.

Brunning was treated by the Devils team doctor before paramedics arrived but he was unable to be revived.

“My baby brother was a star in this family — he was doing so well,” his sister Kourtney Waitarehu told News Limited.

“A piece of our heart has been taken from us all and may he rest in Our Lord’s arms.

“He went from regional football to national New Zealand football and just kept rising, he just had a passion for rugby league.”

The Country Rugby League issued a statement saying counselling and support was being provided to Brunning’s family and friends, as well as both clubs.

Apparently (to reports today) the autopsy showed he had undiagnosed heart disease.

Klemmer yes.!
Mbye No.! Wouldn't know where to fit him in & what position.
Id be more inclined to also chase Raymond Faitala Mariner

If rumours are correct & the Tigers might be interested in French it could free up more cash to maybe chase one of the Morris boys.
Could give us a few headaches with team selections. But a few new inclusions changes the team completely. Id love to also purchase a hooker. Depending on funds.

1. Gutho
2. Hayne
3. Taka
4. Jennings
5. Morris
6. Mosses
7. Norman
8. Junior
9. King/Kaysa
10. Klemmer
11. Niukori
12. Mariner
13. Manu
14. Brown
15. Alvaro
16. Evans/Vave/Matagi
17. Williams/Moeroa

Salmon will be in that line up for next year somewhere.

Fair enough but where.? The kid has only ever played 5/8 or back row.
Iv watched him play since he was 13yo. From Sharks junior development into Nsw u16s origin - Nsw U18s origin ect.
His a good player but still lacks defensively.
His not good enough to play 5/8 week in week out at Nrl level yet. Iv watched him play 20s this year & his not creative enough.
Back row is an option but id love to see some more weight on him. His ball skills in the back row are amazing along with his running game.
Time will tell. He is def a player of the future

Why would we give up French for a Morris? Also I believe Gennings has done enough to get another contract and start next year over a 30 year old Morris.

Yeah but if they could, for example, get someone to take Eastwood at 500k now they could potentially restructure contracts for the ones they want to re-sign (if any) using that money.

Of course that's harder done than said, Eastwood is shit
Thought restructuring contracts is not possible, or is that just for the Eels?

Yeah i understand where your coming from. But apparently French wants an opportunity at fullback. Unfortunately i dont think he will get that here at Parra unless injury to Gutho. If not Morris im sure current players we have will fill the void. But if French goes it will free up some money.

I don't think we're in a situation where we need to offload players due to salary cap constraints. How much less would one of the Morris boys be on compared to French in his final year of his contract?

I don't know Bev personally but he seems like a loyal person, he has stated in the past that he would like to remain a one-club player. Whether that outweighs his want to play fullback is to be seen.

Surely not unless we get rid of one of our current halves.

Don't know how long Salmon will play in the halves in first grade. He seems like a Jack Bird/Wade Graham/Brad Takairangi sort of player that has the skills to play in the halves but is better suited elsewhere. Given how defensively minded centre is nowadays it may not be worth putting him in there, I think second-row will be his long-term position. He is playing well in the halves in Flegg and ISP, his stats from last week's ISP game is astounding for a 19 year old playing his 7th game of the year.

I don't know anything of Salmon to be fair hence the question. But could he be a hooker? If you'd had said to be Ben Hunt could be a hooker I would have said no until I saw him playing for the Broncos last year and he was great. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play hooker in Origin now Smith has gone and free up space for all 3 halves.

So... Could he possibly be turned into a hooker?

100%. If you see the video for Indigenous Rnd, he and Will Smith introduce themselves. He says "My name is Bevan French from the Parramatta Eels. I am playing wing at the moment. "
