If they're not playing in Australia already do we even want them? Players go to the Super League because they're not good enough for the NRL (or in Carney's case, banned). If we need a backup we can surely find one in Australia. And if we need a top 17 player Australia is the only place where they exist.

Plus Henry Paul spent his entire career in super league but was good enough to be first picked for NZ

Chipmunk mentioned soward. He is one of the most hated merkins in league but kind of ticks all the boxes we are looking for in a half plus he kicks goals. And his defence has certainly improved.

No this year his defense was terrible

Albert Kelly would be ok and so would Carney.

Ken Sio would be a handy pick up. I still thinking we need two big strong props. If you have plenty of go forward and good defense your halves don't have to create as many points. They also get more chances so rather then have great halves getting 10 chances a game to create at 50% conversions you can have not as good halves getting 18 chances at 30% conversion . Big forwards making good yards will tire out defense making it easier for average halves to convert.

I just wonder what happened in the deal and why he only signed for really 12 mths as he was contracted for this year.
A guy with his injury background is taking a huge risk in doing so. He was getting to maybe his best contract he would get as far as age goes. A min of 3 years should be what he was chasing. If he gets injured for a long amount of time in the next 14 mths his next contract will be about half of what he could of asked for now.

What do people think of Toutai? I think his carries are very strong and gets the team going forward. How do you fix his hands? To me that's about his biggest weakness. Otherwise he would make quite a good option for first grade.Him and Semi carting it up from the wing would give the forwards so much breathing space.
