Lamb to Eels?

There has been nothing confirmed but if Brock Lamb does leave the Knights as expected, we are hearing Parramatta is the likely destination.

He has met with the Eels [along with Manly and Brisbane] and it’s common knowledge they are trying to off-load Corey Norman.

Lamb’s manager Gavin Orr also happens to manage Eels coach Brad Arthur.”

I thought the rumour was started by the lurker, looks like Toohey reported it and his mail is normally pretty good.

Haven’t really watched him, but he hasn’t played a great deal of grade at Newcastle this year. Has injury hampered him or is he bog average? Can he provide more than Corey?

With Brown already moving into ISP, I’d be hoping that he is ready for 1st grade towards the end of next year/start of 2020. That would mean a 1 year contract for Lamb. Is it really worth punting Norman a year early then as the reallocated cap space is only going to benefit us for 1 year? I say it isn’t.
Rissoling Norman isn't just about freeing cap space. The main benefit would be removing his influence from the group.

Honestly guys Brock f**king Lamb??? Have you guys seen him play?? He’s absolutely shithouse. We need an experienced head in the halves to replace Norman and help Moses out not some reserve grade struggler.
He's only 21 years old ffs. He was far too good for NYC last year. Blokes his age have huge improvement in them.

Haven’t watch him much either, they obviously preferred Pearce over him. He has played 8 games this year however he was out for a few weeks with a fracture cheekbone.

While it looks he may not have been suited partnering Pearce in the halves:

“"He will probably play more a halfback on the ball role, as to playing a bit more right side in first grade, as Mitchell plays more right side on the ball. “

https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/04/18...-to-regain-form-in-intrust-super-premiership/

“but Lamb said he brought a different set of skills to the role, with Watson a natural ball-runner while he is more of a traditional playmaker.

"I like to be organised a lot more and I tend to play well with shape around me," he said.

"We are totally different players. I'm also working on my own running game.

"But I hope to bring some more organisation to the team and take a bit more pressure off Mitch and get the win."”

And he has more improvement in him than most, just what we need another fringe first grader in the squad. All depth and no quality. “Wow why are we last”???

Yes we can and should be. But the cap is finite and BA seems to be recruiting for every position except where our need is greatest.
Now that we've improved our go-forward at wing and prop our greatest need is at dummy half. So far we only have Mahoney contracted for next year, and even then there was no official announcement.

We're coming last because most of our players are playing worse than last year and the year before when they won heaps of games.

Last f**king year, it means SFA this season. It was also when we had the greatest outside back in the comp and were getting away with murder in the ruck. Plus last year we weren't trained by an AFL clown with some experimental new way of running with our thumbs up our arses. From round 1 we looked smaller than every other team in the comp and have struggled in the collisions and controlling the ruck.

The coach misread how the season has gone, once the crackdown happened we were dead in the water.
