Mason is a moron.
Tolman doesn't make 40 tackles a game because he's a shit defender. If that's what Willie thinks then he knows nothing about the game.

As is so often the case, posters here like you, Pou and Gutful, have missed the point due to bias but always preach on about how they are level headed and reasonable and that the critics on here are the bias, agenda driven muppets.

The point isn't Willie giving himself a massive rap as he is known to do, but how Des rated Tolman the best prop in the game over the Burgii boys and the like. Hell he isn't even the best prop in his team.

would you throw him on the bench for Wenty this year or do you think it's too soon?

Prob would handle it. But i think too soon. I know some of the coaching staff were contemplating putting Stefano on ice after the SG Ball season since missing the previous 2 years with 2 shoulder reconstructions as they were worried of doing to much to soon.. Although his SG Ball season was pretty poor he has now flourished since playing Nsw u18s origin and Nyc this year.
Maybe its taken him a while to get his groove back along with his confidence and timing.
Personally id wait till next year, I herd his doing Nrl preseason so see how he handles that.

On another great note, I herd Stefano Utoikamanu Brother Filia Utoikamanu is not far from returning. Waiting to see specialist to receive the go ahead.
Filia was touted to possibly play Nrl sometime this year until he fractured his neck in last years u18s origin game. Special talent and plays back row

any coach that wins 2 comps, takes his side to another 3 grand finals plus made the finals several times probably has a fair idea what players are required to be build an NRL side.

Crucial???? He's a first grader and can do a job if needed. On minimum coin he's a handy back up. Do we have any other big bodies coming through ready for next season??? What happens if Paulo gets injured???? Or is suspended??? Vae on chump change can do a job for us.
Is using 4 question marks like yelling a question?

Given what has happened this year with not being able to play players that we want I'd say yeah every top 30 spot is crucial and we can't be giving them away. If we lose Paulo, who we'll be trying to get 50-60 minutes a week bringing in Siosaia "15 minutes" Vave isn't going to help much. I'd much rather we take a gamble on Stefano Utoikamanu.
What’s he 19 next year????(4 question @strider)

Fair point mate, and I’m all for giving young blokes a go I just think Vave is not the worst back up on minimum if the club decides to go that way.

Again, way to miss the point. No one is saying that he doesn't know what is required to build an NRL team.

But as Willie and others have suggested, he went to far into valuing stats as apposed to having a feel for the players and game overall. There is a reason no other team is looking at him to coach that goes beyond salary cap issues. Salary cap issues are easily controlled. You make sure you have a Football Manager in charge of all that including recruitment and salary control.

Seen very little but gee he is quick for a big guy and his acceleration is impressive too
