would you throw him on the bench for Wenty this year or do you think it's too soon?

I'd honestly be tempted, he's a special talent and I can see him playing first grade next year. He may get more time in Flegg for the rest of the year. He'll definitely be in reserve grade next year so let him finish the year in Flegg and dominate there going into the finals.

As is so often the case, posters here like you, Pou and Gutful, have missed the point due to bias but always preach on about how they are level headed and reasonable and that the critics on here are the bias, agenda driven muppets.

The point isn't Willie giving himself a massive rap as he is known to do, but how Des rated Tolman the best prop in the game over the Burgii boys and the like. Hell he isn't even the best prop in his team.

No i didn't miss your point.
I was just making a new point, which was completely relevant to the article posted.

Looking at this and the Juniors thread, we could be forgiven for getting very excited about the next few years if managed well. We seem to be on the cusp of quite a few good ones coming through. Fingers crossed.
We can live in hope. It does sound a bit familiar though. I used to get excited about how some of our juniors were rated on here. You'll have to forgive me if I no longer do though.

Dumb question, but whereabouts in the article Ram posted is Hasler quoted as saying Tolman is the best prop in the game?

I read Willie's opinion that stats are crap and his slur on Des by accusing Des of thinking Tolman is the best prop in the game. But I didn't see any evidence to suggest anything other than that was Willie's opinion.
Most likely (given the tenor of the article) an opinion based on bitterness that Des wanted him to get his work rate up, and find his gut more often when tackled.
Let's be fair, Mason was quite limited in his effectiveness during his latter years. Seems he didn't want anyone telling him what to do?

In all honesty this started a few years ago and has been pushed heavily bye BA, Anthony Field, Pod, Grima and now Dessy.
They young guys who originally started in the Parra development are now coming to age and through allot of hard work targeting individuals strengths and weakness we will start seeing the cream of the crop coming through in the next year or so.
I would go as far as saying this would be the best young group of players most clubs have seen. We are not just talking about 1 or 2 players, We are talking about an exciting group who are now 19yo -18yo.

I might be getting a head of myself as these players are still young and not yet proven but its this excitement that keeps me optimistic about our clubs future.!

19yo -
Noel Akafolou - Center
Filia Utoikamanu - 2nd row
Tui Afoloau - Center
Ethan Parry - Wing/Center
Haze Dunster - Wing/Center/Full Back
Jonny Fonoua - Wing/Full Back
Michael Toupou - Middle
Oregan Kaufusi - Middle
Joe Tipari - Half/5/8

18yo
Dylan Brown - Half/5/8
Kyle Schneider - Hooker
Stefano Utoikamanu - Middle
Will Kei - Center/Wing
J.P Norah - Full Back
Charbel Tasipale - 2nd row
Valance Harris - Middle

Iv prob forgotten a few i apologise if i have. But you get the idea.!

Personally, Only my opinion. I think 9 of these names will play Nrl at some stage

A challenge for us though is that you can't keep lots of good players of similar ages (or if you do you have to take some huge risks).
