The same amount we allegedly offered? :crazyemoji:
Exactly, so we can afford him. The difference is TPA, which we should not have a problem with in 2.5 years time.

The MPA is capped and every club gets it, so it may as well be considered part of the cap. If the Titans hadn't spent it on Hayne they could have spent it on anyone else. They could have split it amongst their top 17 if they wanted.Actually Hayne is probably on only 600k out of the Titans cap, but he would of used up all their marquee allowance. Smart play on their part considering they really had no one to spend it on.
I doubt the Titans have much TPA either.Exactly, so we can afford him. The difference is TPA, which we should not have a problem with in 2.5 years time.
Well why hadn't they already used it then??? Obviously they had it set up to snare DCE didn't use it so they were able to give it to Hayne. The MPA is capped and every club gets it, so it may as well be considered part of the cap. Yeah they had cap space. Whether they called it MPA or just part of the cap is irrelevant.Well why hadn't they already used it then??? Obviously they had it set up to snare DCE didn't use it so they were able to give it to Hayne.

What? Childish putdown? explain how that was a childish putdown please? Why such hate mate. I am just giving my opinion. You don't like it, fine, but to resort to out right childish putdowns, well says a lot about you.
Is this the way you react in face to face discussions when your view is different to others?
You seem to be a very well rounded individual. Your family must be proud.
They must of had heaps, they also picked up Peats and Hurrell as well.Yeah they had cap space. Whether they called it MPA or just part of the cap is irrelevant.
I reckon the NRL should get the combo of Marshall and Farah at the Knights. It'd give the knights supporters hope and every other supporter a good laugh. As mentioned the only reason Hayne ended up at the titans is because DCE backflipped last year or they would have no cap space.
We need strong teams in places like the Gold Coast and Newcastle, Hayne going to the titans is good for the game, the NRL should help the Knights get a marquee player, their fans will only take so much of getting flogged every week before they stop turning up to game and buying memberships. Knights roster looks not much better for next year ethier.
I don't know what the best option is but passing on a half this year doesn't guarantee you get the one you want next year. As we've been so crap for so long I'd lean toward signing someone decent this year.I agree that we should not panic and just sign anyone. If a good player is not available until 2018 (Reynolds Moses Mbye ) then you just have to be patient. Plan B is sign an Australian Schoolboy 7 who is about to break points scoring record in Qld Cup. Tick.
Yes he could be another Humble or Murray fail, but you've got to give it a crack.
Shout him a Chinese feed ya reckon?
Its been over a week now and I've absorbed the disappointment of Hayne defecting. Upon reflection you are bang on. This is good for the game.As mentioned the only reason Hayne ended up at the titans is because DCE backflipped last year or they would have no cap space.

Hell, this season has been the worst year we've ever had for obvious reasons, and we're still here.
And in record numbers, no less..Hell, this season has been the worst year we've ever had for obvious reasons, and we're still here.
