So your now asking or suggesting I have a mental illness cause of my post. Your suggesting we have problems in management. I reckon if we made top 8 there be no suggestions managment problems up top. So what my sugesstion is, we make finals in 19 and somehow problems resolved upstairs. When a teams winning everything is fine.

Seriously, when our front office is in order I will feel more confident with the flow on effects.

That's not what I am saying.

As I have said in the past you can fluke the occasional season here and there (like we did last year). However, if you want sustained success then you need to be a well managed club. That's not just a suggestion. I think it is a well established reality.

Brian Smith said his role had nothing to do with the Warriors making the finals this year but he did say that his job was about continuing to make the finals in future years. That’s what a head of football does. Long term strategy. We made the finals last year and won enough games to finish top eight the year before, but lack of a HoF put us behind the 8 ball this year.

We are also still paying for signings we had to make in 2016 after the dust settled.

From my observation we seem to.

I can see juniors coming through now. And havent signed any old men yet.

Sometimes to kick start a club you have to sign oldies till the juniors flourish. And yes I am basing it on Panthers mould.

Storm cheated for years but also had 3 goat players in spine.
With all money Brisbane spent when was last time won a comp?
With all money Rooster spent how often do they win it?

They remain a succesfull team due to money they spend and hide in TPAS.

Others clubs have to hope to get lucky and find a gem or two that are loyal to club and rather stay on unders. Or settle for a few good years a few bad years back and forth. There is 13 other clubs simmilar to ours too. And we fight with them a little nore evenly.

No. I dont think we are run that poorly since Gurr took over. Your the one sugessting we are run poorly.
Even prior with tpas I reckon we just where doing what most clubs do but where caught so why it was poor. Smarter operators wouldnt of been caught.

I doubt we can have sustained success but more be in the cycle. Few good years followed by some bad ones, rebuilds etc. Unless we got lucky.Landed a future GOAT who was loyal and happy to play for unders. Then we could have long term sucess while he played.

Hindy, I think you are right in a way but so is Gutful.

If you get the front office/admin side of the business right, then you are able to manage your salary cap, juniors, recruitment and retention all better, which means you can bring the young players through (like Penrith), you don't get seen as a retirement home for the last big payday, and you build a club that is consistently in the top 4-10 each year. Then, with luck with injuries and an occasional GOAT, you can cycle into the top 4 and be a serious contender. Or one of the always stronger teams could have a bad run of injuries and fall out of the top 4 for a season, leaving a spot for you to take.

I don't think you can get and keep the type of playing roster you mention without getting the admin side right. Just like Melbourne, Roosters and Brisbane have.

I think you've just contradicted yourself. Finding this conversation tough going and can't help but think you are making it up on the run.

I'd like to believe that but I can't help feeling that's going to be screwed up too, somehow.
