I think I've said this before, why would he come back after the way he was treated.
The Titans will also have one of the best spines in the Comp in Hayne, Peats, Taylor and Elgey. Their pack isn't too shabby either. We currently have an average pack, a good 5/8 (hopefully), a lower to mid range hooker and an untested fullback.

And there I was looking forward to 2017!!! :(

We play with a lot more ticker than the titans do.
Funny how more gutsy we started to play in the last couple of years since the special one left us.

And yet with an average pack, a good 5/8. A centre-turned-half, a lower range hooker and a fullback with little attack we were competing and defeating some teams that were getting a huge leg up via the refs and a much better team than us.

A lot of other teams don't have the resolve that we have. Like Arthur said we're lacking talent on the field atm and have been for a lot of the year. Once we get most of our salary cap back on the field we'll be making these close losses into strong wins.

Don't let what I said get you down, I'm just a nuffy on an Internet forum.

I agree with you.

I've been saying for a while that I don't get what's so exciting about 2017.

I love our edge forwards, but our tight forwards are average at bezt; De Gois' heart and guts can't be questioned, but his service is average; we don't know who will be halfback next year...

I'm not trying to be pessimistic, but I don't see how we will make the 8 next year.

lol how quick did Ikin and Khent gloss over the Roberts incident??? Where was the pricks same moral outrage when he wanted Norman kicked out of the game for the rest of the year??? Especially considering Roberts has already been booted from two teams.

And yet in 2011 we were very close in a lot of games but we couldn't convert those close losses into wins. 2012 was the year that teams started to wipe the field with us. 2016 is the first year in 4 years that we've started to compete in most games once again. Who was here, in a crucial position, that teams could have targeted in defence, was on decent money, had a shit attitude, and would miss games regularly either through form or off-field issues?

Peats is tough - But his attacking skills are average
Taylor is in his first year- Lets see what happens when teams do homework on him.
Elgey well he looked promising.Again first year and coming off a major injury.

Hayne is a star but the other 3 I wouldn't put in as best spines in comp - Perhaps the potential to be. But also the fact is next year they could be viewed as average players.

Stop talking sense - Sometimes its not only the team your fielding but the team the opposition are as well.
We played most teams this year at full strength. At the start of the season the dogs had a great run playing teams with lots of injuries.
Id love to play the tigers now for example.

A few years ago Corey came to the school that I worked at the time and gave a bizaare speech at a school assembly. He spoke for 10-15 minutes on his university degrees and was not engaging at all. His point was to encourage kids to go to university (i think??) but it came across as a bloke talking himself up in a job interview.

Seems Corey is using the same boring speech several years later (among other things):

On his return, Payne was keen to share the fruits of his education with peers from other clubs.

He was noticeably vocal at a pathways seminar at Canterbury Leagues last month. Few in attendance were impressed by the rookie’s confidence and pride in his academic achievements; which was also wearing thin at Penrith.

In the 24 hours since the Panthers confirmed Payne’s departure – just four months after he was hired – we’ve heard a flurry of bizarre stories.

Foran was hardly targeted in defence and whilst his form was down on previous years, I don't think that's the reason he missed games.
