Hey guys, excuse the intrusion. What's the deal with Dylan Brown? Hadn't heard of him until linked to the Warriors, what are his strengths/weaknesses, and is a 6 year deal for a guy with 5 ISP games as crazy as it sounds?

Others will have more details on his abilities.

But he lead the eels 20’s side to a GF in 2017 as a 17 year old and this year he was only 18 (so still has 2 years of 20’s left) so to play NSW cup at that age is fairly impressive. Also rumours were BA wanted to debut him but couldn’t as he wasn’t top 30.

Is he likely to be in your top 30 next season or does that depend on shifting one of Corey Moses?

Serious answer:

A very good defender, with a very good kicking game.

Good running game, though he isn't lightning quick.

Not much of a talker - but at 18 years of age, you wouldn't expect too much in this area from him.

He's a very good organiser (despite his apparent shyness), and is super fit (he pushed Clint Gutherson in pre-season training recently).

He's a very exciting prospect, and I hope you keep your grubby mitts off him. :D

If he didn't play for eels I doubt he generates this much interest. Tia marie martin is more likely to come across. Eels have kept the pathway clear for this guy.

Cheers. Sounds like he has the tools that SJ lacks, which is probably the basis of his appeal.

No idea if we are a genuine chance or not (his contract is apparently 2019 with an option in his favour for 2020 rather than locked for 2 years) but he's a Kiwi so it's worth keeping an eye on him regardless and hope he does well wherever he goes.

Unless it's the Roosters or Broncos - f**k them.

I sincerely hope we retain him - he has the potential to be our next great 7.

He has all the tools, and he has a fantastic attitude.

I'd be very upset if he left.

Where did you get the info on it only being an option for 2020?
