My third post was a joke with Pou about ingesting semen so if my standards are dropping then that is a real concern.

Take your point though. This place has become a lot more negative in recent years which is understandable given Parra’s misfortunes. Sometimes it shits me and I get in and stir people up. I can see why that annoys some people like yourself and I accept that it often isn’t funny or clever.

Hopefully we start winning so that the nut.huggers and deathriders can get along more this year.

It shits me too. I react in my own way. Often I get pounded for being a 'deathrider' (which I'm not). Or an old 'f**k-face' (which I'm not). And don't kid yourself - you stir people up more than most. Your continual 'stirring up' (and therefore, encouragement) of 'deathriders', has become a bit of a game for you. You perpetuate the very negativity that you say you don't like. It's all good fun, eh? I cant wait til the season actually starts. Hopefully less semen jokes. Sometimes coming on this forum makes me feel like I'm back in Primary school.

Bevan French’s future cloudy as fight to be Parramatta Eels’ No.1 hits overdrive

Simon Brunsdon, FOX SPORTS
February 11, 2019 6:31pm

Bevan French insists he’s fully focused on helping drag Parramatta off the bottom of the NRL ladder, despite reports he’s unsettled and could be on his way out of the club.

The 23-year-old is off contract at the end of 2019 and yet to strike a new deal with the Eels. His 2018 season was disappointing, by his own admission, having been dropped to reserve grade and losing the fullback role to Clint Gutherson.

The speculation around his future at Parramatta began late in the season and continues to do the rounds in the NRL rumour mill.

Canterbury and Gold Coast are said to be two clubs interested in the talented fullback-winger.

French admits he has no idea where his rugby league future lies.

“I’m just focused on trying to get my body right, and right now my focus is at Parramatta,” he told foxsports.com.au in All Stars camp in Melbourne.

“We’ll see how that goes. I’m off contract at the end of the year but I’m loving my time there so we’ll see how it goes.

“I think that’s something that’s expected being the position that we’re in, being a professional footy player you’ve got to expect those things.

“You’ve got to learn to block those things out and just focus on your own game and where you’re at currently.

“As far as that goes I’m just focusing on what I have to do at Parra first and we’ll see what happens from there.”

But no matter where his contract situation sits, French is determined to give his blood and sweat to the club he made his NRL debut with almost three years ago.

His debut season in the NRL was electric, and there was plenty of hype around the Tingha product heading into 2018, as there was around the entire team.

But the Eels fell flat last year and French found himself in the NSW Cup.

He admits he doesn’t know exactly where he fits into Brad Arthur’s plans for 2019.

“We haven’t really spoken about expectations or anything like that,” he said.

“We’re still a month away before Round 1 so everyone is still just trying to get their body right. There’s plenty of healthy competition.”

In an effort to turn things around from the disastrous 2018, coach Arthur has adopted a new approach to pre-season.

The entire squad embarked on a bonding camp as soon as they returned from holiday.

“It’s been an enjoyable pre-season. It’s been quite tough but we’ve done a few extra things that we haven’t done before, relationship building and things like that. Everyone has got to know each other a bit better so it’s been good,” French said.

“First week back in pre-season is sort of testing and seeing where you’re at, (but) our first week we went away on camp.

“We trained hard but then during the night times it was more relationship building, getting to know each other a bit more.

“I think it’s brought us all closer which hopefully brings a bit more trust together out on the field.”

Bevan would go okay with the right team around him. Not sure that the Gold Coast would be that team. Canterbury are an unknown quantity IMO. It could be a good fit for him. I hope he goes well somewhere. Just don't think he fits the bill at Parra currently.

I reckon the Cowboys are probably the best fit for him. Big pack and someone like feldt at the back to take the load off him starting sets.

BULLDOGS RAPT WITH FORMER EEL

The Bulldogs are raving about the progress of one of their budget buys - Australian schoolboy Matthew Doorey.

An edge back-rower, 18-year-old Doorey signed with the club from Parramatta midway through last year and has joined the Bulldogs’ fulltime squad.

The Dogs have such faith in Doorey they put him on a four-year deal - a rare move for a teenager who has yet to play NRL football.

A Kellyville junior, Doorey is in the NSW 18s pathways program and will be one to watch in coming years.

I was happy to make certain concessions and acknowledge certain behaviour as an olive branch but obviously that wasn’t enough for you and you wanted to sink the boot in further.

I accept what you are saying to a point but I think you are taking this way too seriously. I actually don’t harbour any I’ll feeling at all towards The Ram, Noise, Happy MEel, Gleneel, Hineyrulz etc. I have had plenty of exchanges but also share plenty of jokes and would happily have a beer with all of them. In fact, Happy MEel doesn’t know this but when I move to Manly we are becoming besties.

You’ve become a real miserable merkin of late. You weren’t always like this.

P.S. I can’t guarantee less semen jokes either. Sorry.

What actually happened was that Doorey was happy to sign at the Eels, his manager was trying to get anther of his stable signed at the Dogs. They were not biting. He then offered Doorey as bait, the manager signed a letter of intent prior to telling Parramatta or the player. The player manager refused to back down as did the Dogs , it is typical of how managers are using our pathways, have been told that the Manly junior league are more than a little pi55ed at the way they see heavy Recuitment of Riff and Parra juniors into their junior rep teams.

Not a criticism but an explanation of what is happening in the 15/17 old player range.

Why drag this shit up? What matters is what the club thought, not what I thought. I wasn’t the one who signed him (and lucky too). I still remember the kid who carved up in 2015.
That was probably his best year and he's been on the slide ever since. Everybody saw that except BA apparently.

Its a good old fashioned footy forum fight. Its going 12rnds this one. Rumble in the jungle.
Unfortunately 12 rounds finished ages ago, this is the very old fashioned, bare knuckle no time limit fight. Pou is still in the ring having taken a beating but won't give up.

Unfortunately I think you're right. With the right tactics he'd be dynamic and provides the X factor with his speed but BA has f**ked him imo. I'd have him starting with Gutho at centre which is his best position I reckon but BA will have Gutho at fb and Salmon at centre. Still yet to be convinced by Salmon that he'll become a genuine first grader but time will tell.

Now over to Pou who will argue one way or another for 50 rounds.

No legal expert but considering Doorey wasn’t 18 when the “letter of intend” was signed (have to be 18 to enter into a legal contract) and as per your info he didn’t even “willing” enter into the contract, surely it wouId have been easy for him to stay if he really wanted to.
