Why are so many people intent on Guth playing centre? Are you forgetting how good he was back there in 2017? His communication skills are better now than they were then, he's still fitter than anyone else, he has really good playmaking skills.

For me, I thought he was most consistent in the centres. He looked best suited there IMO.

No. From what I've seen he's best suited in the centres, but that's just my opinion.

I accept what you are saying to a point but I think you are taking this way too seriously. I actually don’t harbour any I’ll feeling at all towards The Ram, Noise, Happy MEel, Gleneel, Hineyrulz etc. I have had plenty of exchanges but also share plenty of jokes and would happily have a beer with all of them. In fact, Happy MEel doesn’t know this but when I move to Manly we are becoming besties.

But I try to have a discussion about football with you, and I'm either branded a 'death rider' or you turn the whole thing into a joke and make me feel like an idiot. You weren't always like that, either. And, for the record, I never was a 'death-rider' - I just stuck up for them. Because my pet hate - the thing that makes me angrier than just about anything else - is political correctness, and shutting down free speech. If a number of posters on here hadn't tried so desperately to counter the arguments of the people they called 'death riders', then those death riders would have run out of negative things to say. And, by the way, in any gathering of people, the tone or culture is usually set by the ones who have the most to say. On a forum, it's the ones with the most posts. And as far as I can see, that means you and Hindy 111 and one or two others only. So when you say that you had the shits because the place got "so negative", maybe you antagonised and stirred and generally encouraged it long after it might have died a natural death.
So, now that that's out of the way, you can either brand me a miserable merkin, or an old f*ck face, or have a beer with me. Up to you.

Oh yeah. I lived about 10kms south of Woolgoolga and caught the bus to school, which picked up lots of kids from the banana plantations on the way. They had much more interesting lunches than me. But I did grow up thinking that Indian people stank....I later worked out that it was the smell of banana sheds and not anything else that I detected.

IIRC he’s had since October to seek alternative employment. Accordingly we have been compassionate, however that does not mean that the offer stays on the table forever - and why should it ?

It's true his form was very good at the time, but I don't think it's necessarily because he was playing fullback. I suspect he'll always be one of these players who don't quite have a specialist position, but for me, he would be more suited to centre than anywhere else. Having said that, he certainly won't be rubbish at fullback.

He is a lot better behaved than Sandow. It basically comes down to his size, and whether he is good enough to work around that in all aspects of the game when playing for a club that can't hide him. I'm happy if we keep him, but won't lose any sleep if we don't.
