Yeah right. FFS... How could I be so stupid..The 150+ metres were good, but off the back of 20 carries. 40 tackles in 80 minutes is the bare minimum you want from a middle forward. Alvaro makes 40 in 45 minutes ffs.
Would suck if we didn't get to play against him.Scans will reveal all. Hed be a huge loss.
I think Moeroa's future is at lock. He can get through big minutes and adds size to any pack. He can also take a mean hit up.
For mine he has a few attributes that brown doesn't have and size is huge in today's game
Not saying Brown shouldn't start. Maybe bench moeroa who can cover a few positions
In 2018
Brown averaged 157mtrs from 15.5 hit ups..
36 tackles at 93%

I think Brown is a quality first grader. If he played for a team that won all the time he would be a fringe Origin player. So when I say he's not as great as you think he is it doesn't mean I think he's shit.Yeah right. FFS... How could I be so stupid..
Remind me. Were you disappointed with Brown's output in 2017 when we finished 4th??
I think good luck got us into the top four. We were a top eight-ish team who had some luck. Our for-and-against showed our quality more than our number of wins. We were still a lot better than to expect a last place finish the following year, even with some bad luck. You quite readily refer to 2017 and say we were top 4 then and only a bit of bad luck and departures was the difference between that year and last year's wooden spoon.
Where's the spin? My whole shtick is to bring some balance and reality to the outlandish shit you nitwits come out with. Every player is either brilliant or shithouse according to you clowns. It's not how things work in reality. Players are never as good or as bad as the typical fan thinks they are. That includes Brown as well as all the players you don't like.Too fkn hard to keep up with your spin dude, let alone argue with it.....
36 tackles in 68 minutes is a bit ordianary. He wouldn't have been able to manage that without guys like Mannah and Alvaro covering for him.In 2018

His per-game output was better in 2018 than the year before. Him being unavailable for ten games cost us at least a couple of wins. And not fit.
He's gun, isn't he?

If his output was better than the previous year why would you think he wasn't fit?Yes.
That;s why I said "and not fit".
Thx Pou

Salmon has been put on ice for 1 week. Glad we can now stop speculatingand start debating who goes into the centres. I'm saying BTak ( not endorsing, just suggesting it's the most likely)
Read that he wanted Merrin money (you know the $700k he wanted to be paid when left Dragons) so I'd say $400-500k but who knows. More than we think I'd say.Source on his contract value? IMHO there are at least 8 teams that would sign him in a heart beat.
What do you think the market would view Tepai’s worth ?
For his size and speed he breaks fewer tackles than he should. The big thing missing is a pass or offload at or close to the line. Same with Niukore, runs hard but again missing a pass/offload. Hope this is somewhat rectified this year and the team will improve its attacking stats where we were dead last last year..The point is we've had other options on the edge, plus a lack of height in the middle. This has seen Moeroa play most of his minutes in the middle.
Considering every forward is more dangerous attacking out wide (including Junior Paulo) it's no wonder merkins are disappointed in Moeroa's 'development' since his 'breakout season' in 2015. It's not that he hasn't improved since then, but rather that he has fewer opportunities to run at halfbacks.
Yeah that’s not a source. If you read it somewhere it would be searchable online.Read that he wanted Merrin money (you know the $700k he wanted to be paid when left Dragons) so I'd say $400-500k but who knows. More than we think I'd say.
One would hope that none of your forwards are regularly making 40 tackles per match. That shows you're spending too much time in opposition chasing the ball rather than attacking. That was us last year, this year I'd like to see 20-30 tackles the usual maximum. The 150+ metres were good, but off the back of 20 carries. 40 tackles in 80 minutes is the bare minimum you want from a middle forward. Alvaro makes 40 in 45 minutes ffs.
