As great as Sterlo was, he was never the hardest of workers or thinkers of the game. If you remember back then, Sterlo was well known for loving his sleep.

Cronk on the other hand is a tireless worker and is considered the smartest brain in the game. Does that guarantee coaching success? Of course not, but it gives you one hell of a good shot at it.

I never thought Sterlo liked a sleep on the field. He was just one champion in a champion team. He was smart enough to go into the media rather than coach. Look at BA.............would you like to be his doctor?

On our coaching dilemma. Barring BA winning the title this season, I think he has to go. He has shown very little in the form of innovation and or adaptability. As a NRL coach, me makes for a great assistant.

He was still one of our best players. He dropped the ball more than usual but otherwise his performance wasn’t much different to previous years. But like most smaller outside backs he struggled behind a beaten team.

Yeah I thought Jennings was pretty good last year, he had just a bit of bad luck.

To coach NRL is a thankless task unless you deliver a premiership or get your team consistently in the eight. To coach the Eels is on another level again.

What are the chances of a champion player becoming a great coach? The only big club that tried in recent memory is the Roosters with Fittler.
