Meh. Hate is a strong word. I have apathy towards Seinfeld and GOT. Seinfeld isn't funny and GOT is just rubbish IMO.

Which is basically a good description of following the Eels

I get what you are saying, I was just having a laugh.
Art is subjective, and tv shows are no different. I get that GoT is not for everyone. My partner started to watch it because she kept hearing about how good it was. I told her not to bother because I knew she would hate it.

The Big Bang Theory is incredibly popular like Seinfeld was, but I’ve never found anything in that show remotely funny. To be honest, imo the funniest show ever made was The Simpsons (seasons 1-10).

TWD is great but I reckon it could be better with shorter seasons

I gave up on TWD after slogging through so many episodes where the same shit just kept on happening. I started to watch this recent season but found I wasn’t getting excited to see each episode as I had previously.
That first season was so good because it had so few episodes.

I don't really care tbh. Hence the "IMO". Looking it up, I essentially watched the entire first season bar the final I think. It does amuse me that people leap to the defence of a TV show though (not so much you, just in general when you say you don't like something popular)

Never really been into fantasy or any of that style of stuff to begin with so it was always going to be a hard sell. The story and setting never grabbed me as anything overly original or interesting, the actors and characters never interested me, I found it quite dull honestly. I just didn't get into it in the slightest.

I'm not a big fan of very many TV shows to be honest. The last few I really got into would probably have been Stranger Things and American Gods...

Stranger Things is great.
Haven’t seen Americans Gids yet.

I would probably suggest reading the book before watching American Gods if you haven't already. Not for any book snob reasons, I just think that some of the related but disconnected scenes might be hard to follow otherwise.

The scene with the djinn in season 1 (descriptive, I know) had people in fits because they didn't understand how it sat within the story for eg.

Absolutely (well maybe not the early seasons).

Reckon they could easily cut episodes by quarter

Tbh, GOT bored the hell out of me.

I tried to like it - I really did -, but once they start killing off all the amazing characters, played by great actors (eg: Sean Bean, Charles Dance), what are you left with?

Teams that cant win it

NZ,Titans,Tigers,Dogs,Knights,Raiders

The rest for me are still in the hunt. And yes the raider are going well but just dont have the pack.
Panthers,Cowboys,Saints I wouldn't put a line through yet.
Manly and Eels if snagged a spot in finals could suprise teams.

Panthers are dead and buried; so are the Cowboys.

Faulty Towers is the greatest sitcom of all time, imo.

Pure gold from start, to end.

Helps that it was so short, the writers didn't need to try and remain "fresh" or even have people go stale (like many people generally do) on them. Plus they didn't have to react to anything either, just write the show, shoot the episodes and never go back.

Imagine being a successful artist and having to deal with fans who either whinge cause you don't progress OR whinge because you do progress?

My favourite type of fans are the ones who like what you did and then 10 years later no longer like what you did because it is uncool to still like that thing from that time. I get you may not like the thing that the thing you liked turned into now but shitting on what you used to like seems very odd to me.

I can honestly say there is not one thing that i used to like (and i like so much what is considered embarrassing) that i still don't go back to now and enjoy just as much as i did as a kid, teenager, 20's or 30's. When i watch Astro Boy, Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles or anything else like that i still enjoy it.

I think a lot of people take life too seriously........it seems a very human thing to shit on something that they once liked.
