My mail last night was that we had made a 3 year offer in the range of low to mid $600k and that was pretty much where we were planning to sit.
Gutho's manager hasn't supposedly even taken this to Gutho as he (the manager) is trying to squeeze us to $700k for 4 years. Not likely to happen.

Little belief that any other clubs are queuing up to pay $700k for a centre because no one really needs a fullback. And keeping in mind our offer comes with captaincy and a new stadium is Gutho realistically going to say they aren't worth the difference he has been offered?

Typical 3%'r games being played out at the moment. Does mean signing announcement before Monday currently zero chance.

Period.
Manly could play him at 5/8th ... i doubt Gutho would reject it
Titans need a fullback
Cowboys need a fullback and had supposedly left a fair bit for Val
Brisbane could do with a Boyd replacement

Gutho is probably better than a heap of other fullback options too ... Souths may have a wad of cash to throw around now

Obviously a move interstate might not be desirable???

I definitely wouldnt say there are no alternate destinations out there.

We need to leverage some of this years cap space

And they are both ....

To me, it tells me the intelligence of players in general that they get into bed with these slimy merkins who have no interest in what the player wants.

I know they feel having an agent is a necessary evil but if i had even one meeting with one of those merkins and they spoke to me like the slimy salesmen types they are it would convince me to manage myself, especially if i were a good player!

On Gunco and risk I don't think it's all that great, yes he's had season ending injuries, but he also strikes me as the kind of guy who'll leave no stone unturned in rehab and recovery, and won't shirk the hard yards

The things that make him a leader are the things that also negate a lot of risk.

You are right that he won’t leave no stone unturned, but what about his pace and acceleration? Some players lose so much after knee issues. Hindmarsh automatically comes to mind.

Did any kent go to Wednesday training. Did fergo train ?. I see Lelesiuao getting a run.
Fergo wasn't there, several players did not train. On the sidelines were Tepai, Alvaro, Lane, Dylan, Nathan Brown with arm in sling, Manu trained with leg heavily strapped, Stone did some work at dummy half.

Can't see GL getting a run, they would carve him up , Hoffman covered the wing spot .

Very soft training session, nothing to note

The highlight was the stadium is awesome, the stands are extremely steep in the upper tier, the light show was good, sound is good, the food concessions look really good and well priced with an assortment of healthy options and footy food.
