I hear we will be out of the Saleyards at some stage, moving out to a new training facility in Kellyville.
So what if he wanted $850k ? How much to you pay for a player who will never play origin or play for his country ? What's your upper limit on Gutho ? What is your walk away amount ?

Well they offered him $2m over 3 years.700k seems about right, Jack bloody Wighton is on 700k and the King is a better player than him.
Well they offered him $2m over 3 years.
I thought it was 1.9 over 3 years. Whilst that’s only $33k per year less, it’s a low $600k per year offer versus a mid $600k offer.Well they offered him $2m over 3 years.

Do we get $15 million from the Government like everyone else does?I hear we will be out of the Saleyards at some stage, moving out to a new training facility in Kellyville.
You'd think if we qualify, Bernie and the boys will be onto it.Do we get $15 million from the Government like everyone else does?
Maybe they forgot. I forget things sometimes. You'd think if we qualify, Bernie and the boys will be onto it.
Osbourne isn't at the club anymore mate.Maybe they forgot. I forget things sometimes.
Like the Bern forgets to wear pants sometimes.Maybe they forgot. I forget things sometimes.
Now who is making outlandish assumptions? No one, not even big man voice, ever said or came close to $850K, so stop overstating the facts/reporting as we all know them to win your point.
$700K & $750K, but $700K is the main figure that all the reporting has been about, with some even suggesting that if we had initially agreed to somewhere between $600K to $700K it would have been excepted without feeling insulted.
No one has ever mentioned $850K is what he has been holding out for. We have managed this very poorly no matter what happens from here no matter what you say. It would not surprise me if Gutho got the jack of it and thought and moved on.
Would he accept $2m over 4 years?Would have offered him 4 years.
Don't pretend you know how much was asked or offered. What and signed him for $700K, which is what he wanted? Sure come in a little lower, like 550-600k, then move towards that 700K figure and be done with it. He is our captain and spiritual leader and has been our most consistent player when fit. We all love him for his great attitude and heart and what he delivers week in week out on the field. This is not the player you play hard ball with. Like the media are saying, who else are you going to sign that can give you what he does at that price? He should be the face of the team for the next 10 years. He is the perfect ambassador for our great club. Which fan or sponsor doesn't love King Gutho? So lets dick him around you say?
Because Ayoub should have started with a reasonable demand? His job is to get the maximum amount possible. Just as our management's job is to fit as much talent under the cap as possible without cheating.Anyway you slice this it has been a total balls up.
f**k off with your 'all reports'. They're not reports, they're rumours, and Ayoub has more friends in the media than we do.There is good hard and savvy negotiation and then there is this. He will probably sign, but if he signs for more then $700K, then this hard nosed and insulting negotiating tactic has backfired massively. By all reports
He's been off contract since November. Ayoub would've known of the extent of rival interest long before then. More importantly, we didn't. We only know how much the player is worth to us, and I already told you that's less than whatever Ayoub's initial demand was.he would have signed initially for anywhere near that figure, but by being so stubbornly insulting, he and his manager will now play us off the other clubs and force us to match or come close to their offer/offers. And if you were another club, what would you do? Yes force your competitor to pay top dollar, just by throwing your name in the ring.
See above. I agree at his best and injury free he might be worth $700k. But last year when we made our offer he was worth no more than $500k. Now after six games his value has increased by 40%? That's still a fair risk.Yeah our club officials are genius's. And if anyone here wants to take me to task on the figures being bandied about, save it, they are sensible and logical figures for one. His manager would be obviously passing them on to the media to leverage our club and you can't just believe player salaries when they suit you. I would say that these figures are pretty spot on. Now lets wait and see what this mob have cooked up for us once again.
*looserGee you have made a lot of assumptions there. All assuming the player is being reasonable and the club have no f**king idea.
I heard one CEO say the other day that extending or sacking a coach with 1 year to run makes more sense these days than leaving it to the final year. Just so the media don't make a circus out of it.
Problem with us was that we won the spoon. So offering strong numbers to the coach or underperforming players made no sense whatsoever.
I reckon that the pendulum has swung back in our favour, now that we have the stadium and the team is playing well. Yes we want to re-sign a few of our players, however if they want to shop themselves around then we might just get someone to replace them. Fine by me. Overs are for loser clubs in 2020.
2 STADIUMS?!?And maybe more...
I rate Wighton a better player.700k seems about right, Jack bloody Wighton is on 700k and the King is a better player than him.
