Gutho should really think long term...

Give up the $$$ now for long term gain play out of a great Home stadium, Up and coming Juniors playing with the great Semi Radradra once again at the Eels!

Or go to Manly wait for Des to get sick of you again not play your favored position and when the 4 years are over your price has dropped dramatically..

He may want to win a Comp too. I’d say his chances would be far better at manly than eels.

I didn’t realise Semi had signed with us.

Also Des didn’t punt Gutho. He was at the bulldogs when he came to us.

Manly have a reduced salary cap. Are they desparate for a player like Gutho especially on those dollars?
Aren't the Bulldogs still suffering because of Desies signings?

The merkin is leading the comp for lba’s and running 3rd in the comp for try assists. There is no doubt we’re using Gutho as a second five eight, and righty so considering Salmon hasn’t shown a great deal of play making. If you used your eyes you would see this.
Every fullback is a 'second five-eighth'. In teams with split halves they are the only 'five-eighth'. Ferguson even set up a try on the weekend as a 'second five-eighth'. I'm talking about Gutherson's contribution out of the backfield, which is the biggest criticism of French.
If we have the opposition on the back foot, I want the ball to go to those who are likely to capitalise. It’s hardly “hogging the good ball”.
Well it is, because he is demanding it when there's an opportunity. On Sunday he was even calling it when there was no opportunity and he kept getting cut down by Newcastle's left side defence.

As I said and linked earlier their reduced salary cap was for 2018 / 2019 NOT 2020. Also it is highly likely Dylan Walker won’t be there next year who is Said to be on 700-800k. That is Guthos money.

We’re obviously not wanting to spend that much on a fullback or we’d just give it to him. The obvious downside is what fullback is available that is anywhere near Gutho’s quality?
French is near Gutherson's quality, to the point he has been selected at fullback ahead of Gutherson on numerous occasions. He also has an almost identical win rate to Gutherson at fullback.

Dont play Hardball as right now the club only has 1 option keep with the offer they have or every manager will play the same game when their clients contract is up..

Moses is also up for a new contract imagine his manager playing the same game along with the other 24 players off contract with the Eels
Exactly. $750k is overs for Gutherson. At the end of last year even $600k was overs. What sort of club do we want to be? No player should be bigger than the Parramatta Eels. Not if we want to begin the climb to respectability.

If Manly pay so called overs at 750k does that mean Gutherson is bigger than their club? Or is it only if we sign him for that price?

I think it means, for a club that already has a much superior fullback, they are paying well over.

It's difficult to understand just how smart people of NRL360 are. After his second ACL , having a so so season , playing less than half the games , joint captain of the team finishing last and playing awful, the club offered a pretty decent $450k contract, of course Kent and others would have immediately committed $700k to keep him and ward off other clubs. What club would pay that after last season etc.

The team wins a few games and he plays well and the club ups their contract offers, his manager moves the goal posts trying to screw the club for more money and the club holds fast.

Then the genius that is Kent , Crawley and Hooper reinvent history and state plainly that there should have been a huge contract offer to start with. Really, they take first prize for knowing everything and obviously are never wrong, that's why they are reporters and not involved in administration .

Gutho may win more money, not sure he is winning any fans at the Eels after telling everyone how committed he Is And how the club looked after him, not a good look currently.

I think the general consensus is he can go for 750k. Yeah it’d be upsetting losing him, but he is replaceable.
