Yeah, like I said it is only a possibility that Davies is top 30 (no confirmation).
Based on the website pics, we have 34 players shown and I am assuming Salesi, Dunster and Parry are all on development contracts and that we have been given an exemption for Kaysa... unless Stefano is also on a development contract.

My understanding is that Stefano is also on development contract. If we don't have 30 players by 30 June I would assume Stefano will be promoted.

Marata is the kind of value edge forward you could carry in the squad and maybe even play him in the middle (similar to Mau)

Early days for marata and he’s shown huge improvement on last year. Has a huge ceiling and could turn into our Frizell, at a fraction of the cost. You need kids you can get value out of, and he’d be one of them. Seems we’ve got good young kids coming thru we need to be patient with them, but this is what’s needed to win the Comp.

No point signing guys and having 1mill spare and no spare spots in top 17 or guys costing over 200k who play for Wenty when we are full strength. Terepo may be another to make way pending on how we build the side.

If we can find a stud backrower and prop you need to let a few go.

Hoffman,Taka,GL,Gower,Davey do not get contracts. Bevan most likely not unless Guth leaves.

Potentially letting Hoffman, Taka go, Gower retiring and not making Alvaro, Tepai and Marata priority signings, is a shit load of NRL experience to replace!!

We have already seen this year how important depth is to have in a squad!

So having a player with one of the highest work rates in the game to chase down those kicks seems like a valuable commodity. It only adds to his value that he can also ball play and is a leader.

The kick chase is a team effort. It's more about your weak links than your best chasers. Gutherson isn't anything special as a kick chaser anyway due to lack of wheels.

I'd rather a high quality top 17 and hope for little injuries with guys no 18-24 being younger guys coming through.
Same way Manly and Storm and Rooster and Cowboys won grand finals.All or nothing approach.
Or do you prefer consistency like what Panthers tried to build?

Not sure I'd take French over him any day of the week.... most days, yes, but I hear what you're saying Re Edwards. Confidence seems shot to bits and he'll struggle to get back to 1st grade at Penrith I reckon unless there are further injuries...
