Taumalolo is a lazy defender as well. And while he doesn't have any size advantage in the middle he certainly has a footwork/agility advantage over most middle defenders.

He's also fast and built like a brick shithouse. I reckon he's much stronger than most NRL players, particularly leg drive. Both he and Tapau are superior in this regard. Idris is slow and doesn't have this kind of strength. He is also lazy as I have mentioned.

He was used as an interchange impact player on the edge in his only origin game. Beau Scott was preferred in the centres. He's not as fast or strong as you think he is.

I find people who need to tell you how good they are at something generally aren't as good at said thing they tell you they are good at.

Other people will judge you based on what they see. Everyone also sees things differently so while some may praise you, others will tear you down.

Just do what you do the best you can and don't talk yourself up, let other people do it for you and just appreciate that they care........for the people who don't, no need to worry about them anyways.......

Should we try and recruit Sam Williams? I reckon we should. He is experienced and an ideal 7 if Gutherson doesn't work out at 6.

I reckon because of cap shit fight, BA will just get Williams, Cornish, Kelly & Robbo in a room give them one minimum wage contract and whoever signs it is it. We'll be hoping for a lack of injuries in halves

Sam william is and would be a gamble.He will cost atleast 200k and may end up spending most his time as a back up. 26 and yet to cement himself as a first grader.

We all know how big he is, and he is fast enough to play in the outside backs in first grade. Since he was a teenager no less. He is certainly as fast and strong as I think he is. His problem is his attitude not his physical ability.

Actually I think hindy111 goes fairly well with his talent identification .... but the problem is that the penrith obsession (and soup n stuff) mean people dont take him as seriously

Kelly / Cornish / robbo will probably be worth only second tier contracts, so offer them one each. It's not like other clubs are going to offer them a top 25 spot.

Williams is probably worth a bit more.

200k of cap space is doable wasted, FFS we had 2 million sitting on the sidelines this year in Watmough and Foran alone.

At his age, if committed, he still has a fairly long career ahead of him, redemption isn't beyond him with the right attitude, and it's worth remembering that even as a lazy prick he still had the talent to play origin and for Aus.

Still, I don't think we need another second rower, it aint where we are lacking quality.

I wonder how much clubs want to spend on their 18th highest paid player. Just about every team every year sees the player with the 18th most appearances playing about a dozen games, which is half the season. Obviously this is not to say that this is necessarily the 18th highest paid player but there needs to be some theoretical baseline for discussion.
