Based on that Brisbane will be keeping Bird. No team would be stupid enough to take him at any more than about $200-250k based on his recent medical history. At that price might be worth a short term punt by Parramatta as a centre. None of the other potential discards are worth a punt imo.

I'd take Lodge on Evans money or less and Bird on 200K and a chance to resurrect his career and to play with a top 4 team with an option in the clubs favour.

The rest I wouldn't go near. They are a big part of why the Broncos ended with the spoon this year. We don't want to go near that type of smell again.
