Rumours and Stuff

Yeah,I didn't get the kevvie love. I thought he was shit in origin so don't know why so many experts like him

Don't disagree, but I sort of get the idea that Brisbane were going to need to have a new coach who got completely shat on, but got rid of a few problems, before a hero arrives and looks like a genius. A bit like when a good pub goes to the dogs. The first new owner makes some fair decisions but is stuck with the legacy of the old owners. The next bloke in makes the money.

GOT is completed.

Great first 5 seasons. And one of the best shows I have seen to that point. Seasons six is fun also. But once season 7 starts it begins a downhill spiral. Season 8 is terrible and the final episode is partially unwatchable. Boring with a woefully ending.

Should of ended at the battle of the bastards.

agree it was a poor ending .... i thought the big battle early in s8 was ok (tho a bit dark) .... and there were things about the final battle that were ok too ... i thought s8 was a mixed bag

Just no real surprises. Like when the Starks where killed st the wedding. You do not see it coming.
I reckon a better ending would of been the Lannisters defending their ground and winning the war. Or atleast the Queen escaping with Jaime.

See there is your problem. When people are scared into believing that, then it never ends well for the people.

Just out of curiosity - have you had any people you know be affected by the virus?

I had a cousin - all of 19 years old, and a semi-pro Croatian footballer - get struck down by the virus; his lungs shut down, and he was dead two weeks after getting the virus.

One of my mum's best friends has been in a medically-induced coma for a month, due to complications that arose from the virus.

Does the media and government exaggerate the story a bit? I'm sure they do - they all have their own agendas.

But I've seen first-hand (or, rather, second-hand) what this virus is doing to people, and I just don't believe the level of cynicism that suggests that people are putting money and/or power over people's safety.

I think that people are self-centred, at their core, and it's certainly plausible that this whole scenario has been overblown.

But I've experienced too much to dismiss it as a simple case of overly-hyped influenza.

It should have ended with Daneris saying, 'Hang on, I've got to visit the ladies', and walking into the toilet.

People are definitely overreacting, and a lot of powerful people are benefiting from it, but it's also a legitimately deadly virus that is also crippling some of the survivors. Overreacting is the only logical response because there isn't yet enough data for the correct level of reaction. And underreacting would be disastrous.

That’s a pretty fair summation

I don't disagree that the level of reaction is probably a little higher than it perhaps should be.

But like you said - it's an issue that is causing all sorts of dramas across the globe.

Better to be proactive, I say.

I think most people I've encountered have been reasonable - not thrilled to be in lockdown, but doing it, and getting on with their life.

But I've also met some people who think that everyone is out to get them - and I reckon they need to find some perspective.

The degree of over reaction is directly related to the success of the reaction. The more successful the response, the less the perceived need for the response in the first place.

That's pretty reasonably human , it's just not based in reason unfortunately.

Is that their ego talking? Some people think they are more important then what they actually are
